We announced last week some unfortunate news regarding the timeline for 3.26.0 for Path of Exile 1. Coming out of that we have adjusted some of our internal resources to be able to provide you with some content to fill the time until that expansion arrives.

To start with we'll be running a one-month event that has some of our whacky ideas that never quite made it off the brainstorm board.

What does Path of Exile 1 look like when the nineteen Ascendancy Classes you know and are familiar with are all of a sudden replaced by a different nineteen? What does Path of Exile 1 look like when you get to play a Witch and ascend to become a Harbinger? These are the questions our design team asked each other and in this event will provide you with some of our answers.

We'll release more details about this content soon but we're really looking forward to seeing how the community reacts to some of our more unhinged ideas.

Path of Exile 2 has finally perfected the fantasy archer

When any RPG lets me pick a class, I usually have one main question: Which one of these will let me plink away and do badass fantasy archer stuff like Legolas in the 2002 film The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers? Going back even further to the elven ranger in Warcraft 2, with his sexy hood and iconic blue face paint, this archetype has been a bit of an obsession of mine. Path of Exile fans are having a very normal one after an expansion was delayed thanks to Path of Exile 2: 'I need to make peace with myself and let go of this burden'

Hoo boy. Grinding Gear Games (GGG) has released a new update video, delivered by Path of Exile 2 director Jonathan Rogers, which delivers some bad news to fans of the original Path of Exile. And in its wake there are tears aplenty, tearing of garments, and an awful lot of copium being huffed...

"We were fooling ourselves" Path of Exile 1's next update has been delayed and has no release date, due to Path of Exile 2 taking priority

Bad news, Path of Exile 1 players. It seems as though the next major update for the beloved ARPG has been delayed, with no release date given. This, according to game director Jonathan Rogers, being in large part due to the developer focusing on the launch and post-launch support of Path of Exile 2.

With Path of Exile 2 early access in full swing, developer Grinding Gear Games confirms community concerns that its predecessor's next update is on hold. PoE 1 and 2 are planned to run simultaneously, with seasonal leagues alternating between the two. However, continued development strain on the new ARPG means that work on the Path of Exile 3.26 update has been delayed indefinitely until the next major PoE 2 patch launches.
