Path of Exile is getting controller support on PC

Path of Exile has been available on consoles for a few years now, but unlike fellow action-RPG game Diablo 3, it's never added controller functionality to the PC version. That is, until now: an upcoming patch for Path of Exile will allow players to try beta version of controller support, letting you kick back from the keyboard while you slay the ancient horrors of Wraeclast.

The controller support beta will arrive in Path of Exile's 3.17.3 patch, developer Grinding Gear Games says, although it'll only be available in the Steam version of the free-to-play game. Once that patch arrives, you'll be able to switch over to controller by opening the input options panel and changing the input method to "Gamepad (Beta)."

Grinding Gear Games says the feature will be in beta until the 3.18 expansion arrives, which should be in early May. In the meantime, the developer says you should be prepared to run into occasional issues, even if you're using one of the best PC controllers on the market.

Controller Support Beta

Since Path of Exile was launched on Xbox and PlayStation several years ago, we've been keen to bring controller support to the PC version. In the near future, we'll deploy the 3.17.3 Patch which introduces a Beta version of controller support.

To access this feature, connect a game controller to your PC, launch Path of Exile and go to the Input Options panel. Change the Input Method option to "Gamepad (Beta)". It should take effect without you having to relaunch Path of Exile. Please note that the feature is currently unavailable on Epic and macOS clients.

This controller support feature will stay in Beta until the launch of the 3.18 expansion, and there may be issues in the meantime. Please report any bugs related to the controller support in the Bug Reports forum.

Also, if you have a Steam Deck console, please test out Path of Exile after 3.17.3 has been released and let us know how well it works!

The Hook Divination Card - Reward Suggestions

You might remember that last year, community member lowkeyripper purchased a Divination Card design and left it to the community to vote on a series of polls to determine the final result. The community decided that the card should redeem for a Unique Watchstone. Since Watchstones were removed in the Siege of the Atlas update, we're returning to the community to pick its new reward!

As the name, art and description have already been decided from previous polls, we're only looking for your suggestions for what the new reward type should be. We'll collect your responses and will create polls in subsequent weeks for you to vote on what you think it should be.
