Path of Exile: Royale Twitch Rivals Tournament

We're teaming up with Twitch Rivals again to run another Path of Exile: Royale event! The community creators will face each other in a live tournament in order to win awesome prizes.

Like the last time, the competitors will compete alone but to spice things up the area will generate shrines that would grant various buffs.

Twitch Drops will be available for viewers on all Path of Exile channels. They will be enabled when the event starts and will be available for 5 hours. After 30 minutes of watch time, you'll be awarded with the Eldritch Spawn Pet and after 2 hours of watch time, you'll be awarded with the Elder Portal Effect.

You must link your Path of Exile and Twitch accounts to be eligible for the drops. If you haven't already done so, follow these instructions so you don't miss out!

  • Step 1: Log into Path of Exile website.
  • Step 2: Click here to check your Twitch Settings.
  • Step 3: Link your Twitch account or click 'update permissions' if you've linked your account previously. Once your account is linked or your permissions have been updated, this page should say 'Your account is eligible to participate in Twitch Drops'.

After you have accumulated enough watch time to earn your Eldritch Spawn Pet and Elder Portal Effect, you must redeem them from your Twitch Inventory before they will be available in your microtransactions list in Path of Exile.

There's $35,000 in prizes on the line, alongside a slew of Path of Exile's best cosmetic effects such as Armour Sets, Portals, Back Attachments, Pets and more from the Vulcan, Darkshard, Elder, Oblivion, Dreadspire and Angelic themes. The prize pool will be distributed as stated below:

Path of Exile has hit its highest player count in nearly 10 years

Popular action-RPG Path of Exile is one of the best free-to-play games on PC and yesterday it just beat its concurrent player count record - giving the RPG its highest player count since its release back in 2013, which seems to be primarily thanks to the launch of new expansion Siege of the Atlas.

Path of Exile released around nine years ago in 2013 - although it had betas before that - where it hit a concurrent player count of around 32,000 players and stuck around that as its record for several years. Around 2017 came the huge Fall of Oriath expansion alongside new Leagues, and Path of Exile has regularly been pushing its player count up ever since.

Yesterday, February 4, brought the release of the latest expansion Siege of the Atlas, and with it came a fresh surge in players - so many, in fact, that it broke Path of Exile's all-time concurrent player count on Steam after nearly ten years going.
