Last week we announced the Act 5 Kitava Kill Event, the final ExileCon qualifier race. The winner of this event will compete with tie23he, dsfarblarwaggle and Leaf in the ExileCon race finale in November. Check out this news post to find out more.

By the way, due to popular request, we've also decided to make this a fixed seed event! This means that every racer is contending with the same layout but the minimap won't be revealed.

We've also arranged a special microtransaction prize pool for the top five kill times. These racers will receive a bundle that includes the Wasteland Warrior Armour Pack, Glowing Red Eyes, Reptilian Wings, Gloom Herald, Blood Guard Character Effect, Blood Guard Weapon Effect, Blood Guard Footprints, Two-Legged Goat Pet and the Vaal Viper Portal.



If you're unable to join the race but don't want to miss all the action, be sure to tune in to our official channel at twitch.tv/pathofexile on August 17th at 2pm (PDT)! The event will be shoutcasted by Raiz and Ziggy, so lots of fun guaranteed!

The final month of the Legion League has begun, which means there are only a few weeks left until the announcement of our next expansion. As you know, when the announcement goes live, we will be introducing a new set of league supporter packs and the current Legion ones will leave the store forever. While you still have time to consider purchasing one of the Legion Supporter Packs, we wanted to take a moment to remind you about their contents as well as suggest some stylish combinations you can create with them.

There are two pairs of Legion Supporter Packs available in the store, the Cult of Darkness and the Blood Knight. Each of the two pairs is designed in a unique style and has different contents, so you can choose whichever one you prefer (or both). Both armour sets included in the Legion Supporter Packs look awesome as is, but if you're open to experimenting with your outfit, we're happy to give you a couple of fashion tips! If you're interested in getting one of the Legion Supporter Packs but you're not sure you'll be able to do so in time, we'd recommend setting up a payment plan which can reserve a pack for you for up to three months after the commencement of your plan. Additionally, if you have purchased any plain points packs since May 20th (PDT), you can use this in an upgrade to one of the Legion Supporter Packs! You can credit up to 80% of the value of your desired supporter pack towards an upgrade. For example, if you purchased a $10 point pack you could then upgrade to the Cult of Darkness or Blood Knight Supporter Pack for $20. You'd then receive the remainder of the contents of the pack, excluding the points you already purchased before the upgrade.

As many of you may have seen, I recently made a big announcement on Twitter. Naturally, I will be taking some time off to be with my family and I wanted to make sure I keep the Path of Exile community in the loop as to what to expect from us for the next while.

I expect to take six months of parental leave, but may be able to return earlier. I suspect it's likely that I will be periodically checking in behind the scenes to make sure things are running smoothly.

As we mentioned earlier this week, we're expecting to post our 3.8.0 announcement around August 20th. While I might not be taunting the community from my Twitter or clouding our subreddit with silly gifs, you'll still receive all the normal announcements and teasers you would expect around an expansion launch.

Natalia, one of our other Community Managers, may already be familiar to you as the person who frequently writes and posts Path of Exile news. She does a tonne behind the scenes and I feel very confident with her scheduling news and teasers in my absence. She will also be working with Chris and the rest of the community team to ensure that significant community concerns that may arise are heard and addressed.

Hartlin, one of our game designers and producers, frequently posts on the subreddit and will also be keeping an eye out for community issues for the team to address. You may see him posting to address hot topics and server RIPs, etc.

As always, Chris will be overseeing everything and ready to guide the team in any decisions that need to be made. As you know, he's also notorious for causing mass hysteria so I trust you'll be in good hands.

Unfortunately, taking leave also means that I'm unlikely to be able to attend ExileCon. This is going to be super weird! I was very much looking forward to meeting everyone there and I'm so sorry that I most likely won't be able to make it. I've heard the team's plans for the convention weekend and it sounds like you'll have so much to think about that you won't even notice I'm not there!

Thank you so much to everyone who shared their well wishes and support to my initial announcement. I was extremely blown away with how many caring messages I received. It's going to be really strange to be away from the community and I will definitely miss being part of everything here for a little bit but I will be back! Side note - if you think you might need something from me over the next few months, particularly if you're a streamer, please get in touch ASAP!
