Twitch Rivals Event in Path of Exile: Scourge

In the Expedition League, we teamed up with Twitch Rivals to run our first ever Path of Exile: Royale live tournament. This event saw our favourite content creators teaming up in pairs to compete for awesome prizes. We're excited to announce that following the launch of Path of Exile: Scourge, we're doing it again!

This time around, competitors will compete alone, but we've added a unique twist. Towards the end of the match, surviving players may encounter a brutal but rewarding boss fight, which could have significant strategic implications for how they play the match.

Twitch Drops will be available for viewers on all participant channels. They will be enabled when the event starts and will be available for 5 hours. After 30 minutes of watch time, you'll be awarded with the Two-Legged Goat Pet and after 2 hours of watch time, you'll be awarded with the Divine Arcane Portal Effect. You can check them out below!

You must link your Path of Exile and Twitch accounts to be eligible for the drops. If you haven't already done so, follow these instructions so you don't miss out!

Step 1: Log into Path of Exile website.
Step 2: Click here to check your Twitch Settings.
Step 3: Link your Twitch account or click 'update permissions' if you've linked your account previously. Once your account is linked or your permissions have been updated, this page should say 'Your account is eligible to participate in Twitch Drops'.

After you have accumulated enough watch time to earn your Two-Legged Goat Pet and Divine Arcane Portal Effect, you must redeem them from your Twitch Inventory before they will be available in your microtransactions list in Path of Exile.

There's $30,000 in prizes on the line, alongside a slew of Path of Exile's best cosmetic effects such as Armour Sets, Portals, Back Attachments, Pets and more from the Nightfall, Stygian, Dragon Hunter, Demonic, Darkwood and Revenant themes! The prize pool will be distributed as stated below:

1st place: $4,000 + Microtransactions from the list

2nd place: $2,500 + Microtransactions from the list

3rd place: $2,000 + Microtransactions from the list 4th place: $1,500 + Microtransactions from the list 5th - 6th places: $1,000 + Microtransactions from the list 7th - 10th places: $700 + Microtransactions from the list

11th - 15th places: $440 + Microtransactions from the list

16th - 25th places: $300 + Revenant Armour 26th - 50th places: $200 + Revenant Wings 51st - 100th places: $100 + Dark Magic Helmet

Scourge Item Filter Information

In preparation for the Path of Exile: Scourge expansion, we've gathered up all the Item Filter information you need as well as the changes to the Ascendancy classes to help you get ready for the launch.

If you're not sure what to do with this information, don't worry too much! We'll update Path of Exile's built-in item filter alongside the launch of the Scourge expansion. We've posted the changes to Ascendancy classes in a separate news post which you can check out here.

While we have you here, we also wanted to clarify that Tornados are only affected by projectiles that can collide with enemies. Skills like Rolling Magma and Cremation can't use their projectiles to add to Tornado's damage.

In Path of Exile: Scourge, we've halved the number of regions in the Atlas and made each Atlas Passive Tree slightly larger to streamline the Atlas of Worlds endgame. Path of Exile's Scourge expansion sends you to a demonic, alternate Wraeclast

Path of Exile's upcoming Scourge expansion introduces a new challenge league to the free-to-play RPG game that will have you hunting demons on their home turf - an alternate, evil-infested version of Wraeclast that you'll visit by spilling the blood of monsters. While the trip will be dangerous, it will also yield up some of Path of Exile's best rewards yet.

Grinding Gear Games revealed details about the Scourge expansion today in a livestream, which also explained some coming changes to endgame content, a rework to the passive skill tree, brand new skills coming to the game, balance changes, and improvements to guilds.

Scourge will kick off as you're leaving Lioneye's Watch, where you'll encounter an NPC who appears out of thin air, seemingly pursued by unseen tormentors. Grinding Gear Games says she'll give you something called a Blood Crucible, along with instructions to embed it in your own body - a somewhat odd request from someone you've only just met. Nevertheless, the Blood Crucible is your ticket to an alternate dimension that is crawling with demons called the Scourge, and you'll have to use blood collected from slain enemies in order to pay them a visit.
