Baeclast Podcast Featuring Chris Wilson This Weekend

This weekend, GGG Co-Founder and Managing Director, Chris Wilson will appear as a guest on the community-run podcast Baeclast with TarkeCat! You'll also see all the usual Baeclast crew, ZiggyD, RaizQT, Octavian0 and Nugiyen. Chris and the Baeclast gang will be taking a deep dive into item design philosophy in Path of Exile.

3.11.1.c Patch Notes Preview

Later this week we plan to deploy Patch 3.11.1c which includes the improvements to Storage Tanks and crafting descriptions we mentioned yesterday. It also includes several other fixes and a few improvements. While you wait, we've prepared its patch notes for you to preview!

As always, please note that this only a preview and the patch notes are subject to change prior to the patch's deployment.

Harvest Improvements
  • Storage Tanks can now hold up to 1,000 Condensed Lifeforce.
  • Added a larger Storage Tank which can be created through Harvest Crafting.
  • Improved the visual clarity of Harvest Crafting descriptions.
  • Added slots to the Seed Stockpile which can hold Buds, Flowers and Blossoms.
  • You can now auto-plant while Harvest Crafting is still available.
  • Clarified the descriptions of how to grow (and regrow) the Heart of the Grove.
  • Fixed a bug where the "Sacrifice a Corrupted Gem to gain x% of the gem's quality as Gemcutter's Prisms" could return a stack of Gemcutter's Prisms with a stack size of 0.
  • Fixed a bug preventing enchanting of a Map (using Harvest crafting) if it already had Delirium applied to it.


General Improvements
  • Added a "Camera Rotation Effects" Option. This can be disabled to prevent effects similar to that found in the Veritania, The Redeemer encounter room.
  • All Vault doors are now automatically opened in a Blighted Vault Map.
  • The exit from Vaal Oversoul's arena now unlocks significantly sooner.
  • Updated the audio of the Miracle Map Device.
  • Improved the default volume of audio effects in the Elder encounter.
  • Fixed a bug where blocking a Hit did not always count as having been Hit for the sake of some "have been hit Recently" modifiers.
  • Fixed a bug where Sirus, Awakener of Worlds could dismount his throne if there was a dead player underneath it.
  • Fixed a bug where Metamorphs could fail to take any actions if they were stunned before having taken an action.
  • Fixed a bug where the Mineshaft that Niko drills could intersect with other Azurite Mine encounter nodes.
  • Fixed a bug where Betrayal Fortification encounters were unable to spawn in the Desert Map.
  • Fixed a bug where Entity of the Void's Flameblast was much smaller than intended.
  • Fixed a bug where skeletons summoned by the Bringer of Bones nemesis modifier were always level 4.
  • Fixed a bug where monsters could spawn in an inaccessible location in the Chateau Map.
  • Fixed a bug where the exit from the Lava Chamber boss arena didn't lock during combat with Fire and Fury.
  • Fixed a bug where Elusive would cause some microtransactions to lose their textures briefly when the buff expired.
  • Fixed a bug where the Insatiable Malice Weapon Effect was not attached to the correct part of the Demonic Weapon cosmetic.
  • Fixed a bug where Labyrinth rotating traps didn't have shadows.


Skills & Passives Fixes
  • The first shockwave from Sunder is now slightly closer to the player to fix a case where very close targets weren't being hit.
  • Mirage Saviours, Mirage Warriors and Mirage Chieftains spawned by The Saviour unique legion sword, General's Cry and Tawhoa's Chosen respectively can no longer be stunned.
  • Added a larger visual to the aura granted by The Torrent's Reclamation unique belt.
  • Added effects to Gore Earthquake Effect and Crystal Earthquake Effect when supported by Fist of War Support.
  • Updated the audio of Crystal Earthquake Effect and Demonic Earthquake Effect.
  • Added audio to Brands when they attach to monsters.
  • Fixed a bug where the Master of Metal ascendancy passive would not always grant added Physical Damage.
  • Fixed a bug where, while you had the Supreme Ego keystone allocated, activating a temporary aura (through the use of March of the Legion) would turn off Malevolence or Zealotry.
  • Fixed a bug where Glimmerwood Sunder didn't play audio for shockwaves beyond the first when supported by Fist of War Support.


Bloom Improvements
  • Reduced the brightness of the Demonic Weapon cosmetic while it had Blood Guard Weapon Effect applied to it.
  • Reduced the brightness of the following effects: Celestial Herald Effect, Crystal Earthquake Effect, Dragon Fireball Effect, Huntsman Aura Effect, Pandemonium Portal Effect, Ringmaster Weapon Effect, Sentinel Portal Effect and Thaumaturgy Wings.


Crash Fixes
  • Fixed three instance crashes.

Harvest Storage Tanks and Crafting Descriptions

Later this week, we're planning to deploy Patch 3.11.1c. It contains a few small fixes but most notably, an increase to the capacity of Storage Tanks and some improvements to Harvest Crafting descriptions.

[h2]Storage Tanks[/h2]
The current plan is that the base capacity of a storage tank will be increased from 300 units of Lifeforce up to 1,000 units. We also plan to introduce a new type of storage tank with a capacity of up to 5,000 units that you'll be able to purchase for a significant amount of Lifeforce.

If you own one or more of these new larger tanks, a placed tank will have a 'swap' button on it that you can click which will automatically swap the new large tank with the existing tank that you select. Any Lifeforce contained in the smaller tank will be deposited into the newly-purchased larger tank.

[h2]Harvest Descriptions[/h2]
We've also revised the highlighting of key words on the Harvest crafting panel. It will have colours that make it easier to see at a glance what crafting modifiers are available. For example, the word 'caster' would always be highlighted in pale blue.

3.11.1b Patch Notes Preview

Sometime within the next week, we're planning to deploy patch 3.11.1b which includes various fixes and improvements. While you wait, we've prepared the patch notes for you to preview.

Harvest Improvements
  • Added currency icons to the Harvest Crafting UI to more clearly display what a given crafting option does at a glance.
  • Added additional colouring to the highlighting on key words in Harvest crafting descriptions.
  • Reduced the amount of time that the 'Harvest Ready' notification is displayed to 5 seconds (was 15 seconds).
  • It is no longer possible to Upgrade Essences, Oils or Maps when viewing the Stash through the Harvest Crafting 'stash view'.
  • Fixed a bug where attempting to upgrade Oils in a Blight Stash Tab would result in the Oils being deleted if you were viewing the Stash through the Harvest Crafting 'stash view'.
  • Fixed additional bugs that could cause the Avatar of the Grove to fail to transition to another phase of the encounter.
  • Fixed an issue where clicking the Seed Cache negatively impacted performance for the remainder of the area.
  • Fixed a bug preventing the use of The Enmity Divine or upgraded Harbinger Unique items in the "Change a Harbinger Unique or Unique Piece into a random Beachhead Map" Harvest Craft.
  • Fixed a bug where Oshabi would repeatedly say "This way, exile." each time you entered the Sacred Grove if you had completed or partially completed the Harvest tutorial quest without speaking to her first.
  • Fixed a bug where the incorrect quest text would be displayed after you had activated the Heart of the Grove.
  • Fixed a bug where completing Shaper Guardian Maps with maximum Delirium didn't count towards the "Complete a Rare Map with maximum Delirium" challenge step.
  • Fixed a bug causing the Sacred Grove portal to spawn in unwalkable locations in The Belly of the Beast Level 1 and The Belly of the Beast areas.
Bloom Improvements
  • Reduced the intensity of Bloom effects for the following assets: The Eradicator skills, Stygian Desecrate Effect, Tornado Shot, Flame Golem skills, Tectonic Slam, Automaton Divine Ire Effect, Phasing effect and Pandemonium Wings.
  • Fixed a bug where using Divine Ire while wearing the Angelic Helmet microtransaction caused bright visual flashes.
General Improvements
  • The Ricochet notable has been renamed and is now called Trick Shot.
  • The fractured versions of Sporeplume now have less life, rather than increased damage taken. The desired result is for there to be no change in difficulty, simply to fix a case where large damage taken modifiers could cause larger than normal amounts of reflected damage to be dealt.
  • Fixed a bug where upgrading a Blight Oil in the Blight Stash Tab was possible while the next highest tier of Oil was already at its maximum stack size (of 5000).
  • Fixed a bug where control + clicking a Map in the Anointing slot of the Blight Stash Tab would cause the map to be deleted if your Blighted Maps section was full.
  • Fixed a bug where enchanting a belt would remove quality that had been added by using Catalysts.
  • Fixed a bug where the "+1 Cooldown Use" stat from the Hasty Reconstruction passive skill didn't work in instances other than the one in which the stat was gained.
  • Fixed a bug where the Cold Steel unique jewel didn't convert the Physical Damage from the "x% increased Melee Physical Damage while you have Fortify" passive skills.
  • Fixed a bug where the Alchemist's Genius buff (granted by the Spiked Concoction cluster jewel notable passive) didn't apply to various Flask effects, including the Vaal Skill stats from the Soul Catcher unique Quartz Flask.
  • Fixed a bug preventing the use of Bloodstained Fossils on Maps.
  • Fixed a bug where the Chrome Arctic Breath skill used by Chrome-touched Croakers and Chrome-infused Croakers would detonate as soon as it was cast, rather than when colliding with a target.
  • Fixed a bug introduced in 3.11.0 where Rumbling Mass and similar monsters were missing textures.
  • Fixed a bug introduced in 3.11.0 where The Samurai's Eye divination card lost its background art.
  • Fixed a bug where Pocked Lanternbearers' and similar monsters' lanterns did not dim out when they were killed.
  • Fixed a bug where the Demonic Body Armour microtransaction did not align correctly with the Ranger's hands.
Skill Improvements
  • Reduced the frequency that Raised Zombies play their idle audio.
  • Fixed a bug introduced in 3.11.1 where Awakened Elemental Focus was no longer able to support Wintertide Brand.
  • Fixed a bug where the "Earthquake deals x% increased Damage per 0.1 seconds Duration" enchantments did not apply to Vaal Earthquake.
  • Fixed a bug where the Fist of War Support visuals would appear if you were Frozen while performing a supported attack.
  • Fixed a bug where the "Minions recover X Life when they Block" stat from the Bone Offering skill was not visible on the skill tooltip.
  • Fixed a bug where using Doryani's Touch after using Lightning Warp could cause the Doryani's Touch skill to be used at the original location, rather than where you Lightning Warped to.
  • Fixed a bug where Galvanic Arrow could sometimes knock enemies back in the wrong direction.
Crash Fixes
  • Fixed a client crash that could occur when your Sound 'Channel Count' setting was set to High but your hardware was unable to support it.
  • Fixed four instance crashes.
