0.4.05 Hotfix

Good day to you, explorers of the arid shrubland! Today we released a small hotfix to address to issues:
  • Fixed an issue with the Settings panel, which got completely bugged because I am not a smart person.
  • Fixed an issue with Items and Inventories that prevented to acquire more items after reaching a certain threshold. Items will no longer disappear when looting, buying, or dismantling.

We also started making progress on optimizing loading times, with encouraging results. We will keep you updated on the process!

Patch 0.4.05 has been delivered!

Smaller update today, because we finally got rid of most major issues we've been able to track, so we started addressing loading times, but it will take a while to optimize them! In the meantime, here's the changelog of today's patch:

  • Fixed the Fast Hands achievement.
  • Fixed an issue preventing certain NPCs from generating rewards for quests.
  • Fixed a game-blocking issue linked to NPCs with missing equipment.
  • Fixed some dynamic quests spawning outside of Major Quests, leading to parsing issues and a general lack of consistency.
  • Rebalanced the amount of opponents spawned in early quests. This is just a first step, we will soon tune the algorithm to create more balanced challenges.
  • Fleeing enemies now grant XP.
  • Fixed the name of some passives that were called Though instead of Tough because in 18 months since their creation no one noticed the typo.
  • Fixed an issue with items gained from companions disappearing after dismissing companions. Sadly it may not be fully save compatible with companions that have already been recruited.
  • Removed some RenderTextures from the map as a possible solution to the crashes a few people have been experiencing.

Have fun!

Patch 0.4.04 is online!

We did it. For all you Shouts enjoyers, now you will finally get to see and use your missing Skills! We also fixed many other issues, so here's the changelog!

  • Critical: fixed an issue happening when deserters are spared during a subquest, and added as allies for a final assault in a Major Quest.
  • Critical: fixed a critical issue with missing parties blocking the game. Savegames blocked by this issue will now work as intended. Some quests may still be bugged, but won't crash the game or prevent loading, they will expire but future quests won't have issues.
  • Fixed an issue with Skills applied to Shouts not showing up.
  • Traders will no longer complain about trespassing while you are trading with them.
  • Prevented map containers from spawning in already occupied spaces.
  • Changed the stats of a few items to be more balanced.
  • Made more items stackable to reduce clutter in inventories.
  • Fixed an issue with enemies not attacking the party in the final phase of some Major Quests.
  • Fixed some quests not progressing as intended. Mostly related to some rare paths with the player betraying the quest giver.

Have fun!

Version 0.4.03 is live!

Another day, another patch! We're still fixing a few important issues and we're taking the time we need to avoid creating more bugs by doing a rushed work, but we still managed to upload some useful fixes!

Changelog:
  • Critical: Greatly improved pathfinding on the map for the player, reducing delay after clicks to zero in most scenarios.
  • Fixed a minor issue on the map with its rendering.
  • Focus Actions affecting a single target no longer have a minimum range, allowing casters to heal themselves.
  • Added a timestamp to savegames.
  • Fixed an issue preventing playable characters to acquire more than 32 Skills.
  • Fixed several issues in the world simulation to prevent quests and gamestates from breaking after a settlement loses prosperity. A more comprehensive fix capable of restoring most savegames will be released ASAP, possibly tomorrow.
  • Added proper background perks to companion, sadly this is not save-compatible.
  • Removed trader and official markers from dead people on the minimap.
  • Removed a bugged bow from a potential companion.
  • Fixed an issue with the save button overwriting saves instead of creating new ones.

Known Issues:
  • We identified the source of the missing Shouts, we didn't manage to fix it yet, it will be done asap.
  • We are still investigating on the cause of a couple reports of bloated savegames. We addressed several potential causes, but we still want to see what else could cause them.

Thank you for your patience, stay tuned for tomorrow's update!

Patch 4.02 is here!

A new patch has been uploaded, even if we (actually I, the fool writing this) forgot to change the version shown in the main menu! This patch addresses some of the issues you reported in the last days, here's the changelog!

  • Critical: fixed a blocking issue in combat which left NPCs stuck. We are really sorry about that.
  • Critical: fixed a rare blocking issue in combat. It only caused one bug report so far, but getting rid of blocking issues is always a priority.
  • Updated editor to Unity 2021.3.45f, which will increase overall stability and prevent a few rare crashes.
  • Attributes modifiers should now work as they were supposed to do.
  • Heavily optimized the World Map to help prevent crashes or slowdowns on some platforms, halving the video memory required to travel around it.
  • The Resolve Attribute now gives a little Penetration when raised above 5.
  • Fixed the sensitivity of several scroll bars requiring an insane amount of scrolling to be scrolled, possibly leading to broken mouse wheels in need of replacement, therefore triggering a worldwide mouse wheels shortage, which could only result in the end of civilization as we know it.
  • Level 3 Skill Analyze in the Finesse Skill Tree is now showing up properly.
  • Level 2 Skill Pathfinder in the Fire Skill Tree now has the correct modifier.
  • Fixed several non-localized strings in Character Creation.
  • Fixed the bug-reporting tool which sometimes stopped working.

Thanks for your support!
