Mind-Bending Investigations in TOKYO PSYCHODEMIC! Vol. 1
Hello Detectives,
In anticipation of the upcoming release of Tokyo Psychodemic, we’d like to introduce you to some of the mysterious and mind-bending cases you can expect. As a rookie member of the Paranormal Detective Agency, you’ll be opening up cases that have been left unsolved. Is murder afoot in Tokyo? Or could it be a case of paranormal activity…? It’s up to you and your team to uncover the truth.
[h2]CASE 1: Spontaneous Human Combustion Case[/h2]
Our first case takes place in the underground parking lot of Sanko Pharmaceutical Building in Shinjuku, Tokyo. The victim was found dead, burnt to a crisp by a fire of more than 1000 degrees Celsius, with all that remained being the victim's lower legs.
An assistant of the dismantled Iwai Detective Agency, Tomona Akiba, who is in pursuit of the whereabouts of the leader of a dangerous cult, speculates that there may be a lead in this unsolved case. Together with the protagonist, the two set out to solve the case.
Could there be paranormal forces at play? or is this a murder attempt? It’s up to you to review and analyze the evidence to find the answer to this case
[h2]CASE 2: A Case of Faftrotskies [/h2]
This case tackles yet another seemingly unbelievable incident, this time concerning limbs suddenly raining from the sky…
Dismembered body parts began falling from a pedestrian bridge at an intersection in Harajuku. To get to the bottom of the case, our protagonist sets out on the job.
This particular case is based on a well known urban legend known as “ayashi no ame” in which fish and frogs fall from the sky.
There are various suggestions for the cause of such a phenomenon including tornadoes, or birds dropping their prey, but no definitive answers. What is odd about this case is it takes place in a very public area yet there are somehow no eyewitnesses…
In this forensics-based case study, you do not actually go to the crime scene, but rather deduce the case based on the materials and hacked information delivered by the courier. However, you do not stay underground all the time.
In addition to going out in the course of the story, you can also go outside through the office door at any time. In Case 2, you can go to the ramen shop "Choujouken" the concept cafe "S-FEARS”, and several other locations.
