As we make final preparations, we couldn’t resist sharing a glimpse at one of the fiercest additions coming your way: the Elderclaw! Born of the wild itself, this towering forest guardian is both protector and predator, a primal force bound to the heart of the forest.

If you’re transferring or ascending to another server with an Armadoggo or Veilwyn in Companion Mode, be sure to exit Companion Mode first. Leaving it active may cause issues during the transfer.



Amazon is updating its certificate signing system, which will impact the Epic Online Services (EOS) SDK starting October 1. While this may not affect most players, Epic recommends ensuring your Windows system is fully up to date to avoid potential issues.

To help prevent any disruptions, Epic suggests the following steps (in order of ease):

• Update and run the Epic Games Launcher (if installed) — a new mitigation feature will be added in the coming weeks.
  
• Install the latest Windows Updates to ensure the required root certificate is present.
  
• Manually install the certificate by running this command in a Command Prompt window: https://account-public-service-prod03.ol.epicgames.com/account/

Start brainstorming your creature concepts and prepping those designs now, as submissions will open in the coming weeks. We’re excited to see how your creature adapts to the challenges of the simulation.

Please note that this creature will be released for Genesis Part 1, so make sure your real-world submissions are thematically suited to the map’s diverse environments. The next ARKpocalypse wipe kicks off September 19, and this time it’s back to basics. ARKpocalypse will now run as a mod-free experience, a throwback to the raw survival challenge of classic ARK.

We’re excited to see this retro-style ARKpoc make its comeback.

While we won’t be able to host our usual 24-hour Extra Life livestream this year, we’re still going all-in on what matters most: uniting as a community to raise money for the Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals and unlocking something special for the future of ARK: Survival Ascended.

For every $30,000 raised through the Studio Wildcard Extra Life charity campaign, the community will unlock a Dino TLC pass to be released throughout 2026, breathing new life into a classic creature of the ARK with updated gameplay and style. Up to four TLCs can be unlocked at the $120,000 milestone!




When donating to anyone on the Studio Wildcard Extra Life Team, not just Studio Wildcard directly, include a message with your chosen creature’s full first name preceded by a hashtag, like this (we’ll do our best to identify typos, but try to spell them correctly!):

If no hashtag vote is included in the donation message, the donation will still count towards the TLC total, but it won’t advance any particular dino’s voting tally.

Our next Community Creature submission will take place in the simulated biomes of Genesis Part 1! From the crushing depths of the ocean trenches and volcanic hellscapes to the desolate lunar surfaces and treacherous bogs, this unique map offers an unparalleled variety of habitats for your real-world prehistoric creature to call home.

Start brainstorming your creature concepts and prepping those designs now, as submissions will open in the coming weeks. We’re excited to see how your creature adapts to the challenges of the simulation.

Please note that this creature will be released for Genesis Part 1, so make sure your real-world submissions are thematically suited to the map’s diverse environments. We’re always blown away by the creativity and passion the community brings to creature submissions and we can’t wait to see what wild things you’ll unleash this time around!

We know many of you look forward to Extra Life every year, and so do we. It’s always been a special time where we go live for 24 hours, celebrate together, and push those donation milestones in a way only the ARK community can. This year, our team is heads-down finishing Valguero Ascended and Lost Colony, which means we won’t be able to host our usual Extra Life livestream on Game Day. We’re disappointed we can’t share that experience with you this year, but we’re committed to making sure the event is still something to look forward to while continuing to support the kids and families who rely on the Children’s Miracle Network for care.

Here’s the part we’re most excited to share with you: every $30,000 contributed towards the Studio Wildcard Extra Life charity campaign will unlock a Dino TLC pass, breathing new Ascended life into one of ARK’s classic creatures, up to a maximum of 4 creatures (at $120,000) delivered throughout 2026. When you donate, please include the full name of the creature you’d like to see receive some love. Every dollar counts as one vote towards that specific creature, and the community’s combined support will determine which creatures evolve with renewed gameplay and style.

In next week’s crunch, we’ll be opening up the Studio Wildcard Extra Life page to start receiving donations, as well as explaining the donation/reveal schedule and any important information that would be necessary to know in order to vote for a Dino TLC.

Starting after Game Day, we’ll reveal one winner each week throughout November. Before each reveal, donations will continue to be counted, so if your favorite hasn’t been picked yet you’ll still have time to support it. Expire servers are temporary servers across the network that will eventually be removed, and you can find them by searching for "Expire" in the session filter.

These servers will be online until 10 am PST / 1 pm EST on September 1st. We're preemptively using our allocation for future maps to host some additional sessions that players can travel onto to farm, tame, and experience the newest content Gameplay. The same transfer restrictions apply in that you are only able to download your character, but you can freely take anything off. This is to help reduce load off some of the other servers, or provide players an option for those who just want to jump onto a new map temporarily.

Please note that these servers will no longer exist after 10 am PST / 1 pm EST on September 1st, so if you intend to use them, remember to transfer your items/creatures/characters off before that date, as nothing will be saved beyond that time period.
