[p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]We’re planning to roll out a Quality of Life and balance patch next week with the Summer Bash. It’s packed with a wide range of improvements aimed at smoothing out day-to-day gameplay and introduces some fresh changes to the meta along the way. [/p][p]On the QoL front, we’ll be making good on some long-standing community requests. You’ll be able to enable "autorun" from the action wheel, and holding H while wearing armor will show the durability of each equipped piece. For our farmers, Ankylosaurus, Doedicurus, and Dunkleosaurus will let you choose a specific resource type to harvest (so if you're just after metal, for example, you won't have to constantly drop stone). Plus, Anky and Doedic will keep on auto-harvesting past the current 50% max weight even when held by a flyer to make life easier for our solo farmers.[/p][p]On the balance side, some updates are on the way that should help smooth out certain areas while reintroducing a bit of variety. To touch on a few examples: Mek blueprints will be tinkerable again, with themselves only, bringing back some flexibility without opening the floodgates. We’ve made adjustments to Tesla Turret stun, reduced poison damage, and tuned down the HP on the Dreadnoughtus. You’ll also see a slight speed increase for Quetzals and health buffs for Spinosaurus, Mammoth and Brontos, among other tweaks. [/p][p]And, finally, because it’s too hot to keep to ourselves, the Phoenix will soon be breedable! It’s been a long-requested addition, and we’re excited to see what kind of fire-fueled bloodlines you start hatching! [/p][p]These are just a few highlights from a much larger list of changes and improvements we’ve got queued up. Your feedback keeps us evolving, thanks for being part of the journey as we continue refining and expanding the ARK experience

The team has been loving the positive feedback and watching Survivors dive into the new content and explore the upgraded map. [/p][p]We'll be keeping a close eye on player reports and addressing feedback and bugs frequently in the coming days. We know the UE 5.5 upgrade still has its kinks, but rest assured the team is working hard to straighten them out, and there's a lot to look forward to this year with an exciting summer just around the corner! To meet demand for Ragnarok, we plan to release a small amount of new Official Ragnarok servers on:[/p]

• [p]Saturday 06/21 1pm pacific[/p]
• [p]Sunday 06/22 11am pacific [/p]

[p]There will be a combination of PvE and PvP game modes, some Small Tribes, along with some temporary “Expires” servers. [/p][p]These Expires servers will be online until August 11th 2025. We're hosting some additional sessions that players can travel onto to farm, tame, and experience the Ragnarok gameplay. The same transfer restrictions apply in that you are only able to download your character, but you can freely take anything off. This is to help reduce load off some of the other servers, or provide players an option for those who just want to jump onto Ragnarok temporarily.[/p][p]Please note that these servers will no longer exist after August 11, so if you intend to use them, remember to transfer your items/creatures/characters off before that date as nothing will be saved beyond that time period.[/p][p][/p][p]
We're currently in contact with Microsoft regarding the issue where Ragnarok cannot be downloaded on the Microsoft or Windows store without switching regions, or in some cases not at all. Microsoft's platform team is investigating the issue and we're hoping to get them some additional data. For those of you not able to download the map, could you please try once more and then leverage the 'Report a Problem'? feature, submitting your diagnostics. That will help their team diagnose the issue, more details can be found here.[/p][p]Additionally, they've asked us to gather some info on players who are currently experiencing the issue / did experience the issue, so we've created a form to collect that information. • [p]FPS DROP FIX on PC: We've introduced dynamic VRAM management to mitigate instances of memory buildup caused by changes in how memory is allocated in UE5.2 vs 5.5. This build up would lead to major FPS degradation that took a significant amount of time to recover. Our temporary system adapts internal rendering settings to improve stability and prevent the FPS drop. Cards with 8GB VRAM are operating close to the memory limit, and therefore will often have the new system turned on. When the low-VRAM circumstance is detected, this will result in a performance loss of about 15%, however this should prevent the ~90% FPS drop. This is a temporary workaround while we work on fundamentally resolving this issue, either by restoring the 5.2 behaviour or working with Epic to fix the underlying bug with the transient VRAM allocator.[/p]
• [p]Speculative Foliage Fix on PC: Harvested foliage would reappear on the client upon login or leaving caves, but not be harvestable. We'll be looking to incorporate the fix on consoles in the coming days if there are no additional side effects.[/p]
