In today’s devlog, we want to give you a sneak peek of some locations you'll see in the demo map, giving you a taste of new places that will be available in the full game. These locations will have a significant impact on the game's economy and provide you with new opportunities.

[h3]Junkyard[/h3]

The junkyard is where you’ll be able to stock up on parts for repairs and find neglected cars. It’s the perfect place to buy wrecks for cheap, invest in their restoration, and sell them for a profit.



[h3]Gas Station[/h3]

At the gas station, you'll find necessary items for certain repairs, as well as special gifts that can help you with negotiations with customers. Sometimes, a small gesture can convince a buyer to accept a better offer!



[h3]Bar[/h3]

Man doesn’t live by work alone! You can spend your hard-earned money at the bar, which is a great place to relax. Here, you'll find side activities that will make your gameplay more enjoyable in a non-car-related way.

Only 9 days left until the demo release!

Today's devlog brings some small changes. Recently, we introduced the mileage rollback mechanic (check it out here: https://store.steampowered.com/news/app/2404880/view/621036698051019256). However, during internal testing, we found that it needed some fine-tuning. We weren’t fully satisfied with how the knob was rotated, and the limit before the device jammed didn’t provide enough feedback for the player. That’s why the new controls will work as follows:

• To roll back the mileage, select a digit using the ‘A’ or ‘D’ keys, or use the arrows on the UI.
  
• Then, hold down the spacebar or LMB on the red knob.
  
• An indicator on the screen will inform you when you're approaching the limit, allowing you to adjust the mileage more precisely before the device jams.

[h2]🚗 Hey Car Dealers![/h2]
Only 14 days left until the free demo release!

Today, we’re talking about freeplay mode in the demo. After completing the main questline, you’ll unlock freeplay, allowing you to explore discovered mechanics and test different trading strategies without restrictions.

The demo will feature 5 car models for you to work on. Four of them can be repeatedly bought and sold, giving you the freedom to experiment with different approaches to the business. Each vehicle will come in various colors, with different levels of dirt and body condition.

To help you manage repairs, each car has assigned generic service tasks. Simply drive into the body repair or car wash zones, and you'll see reminders of what still needs to be done and the car’s current condition.





Additionally, the generic task system is fully integrated with the save system. If you need to step away while washing or repairing a car, your progress will be saved, and upon reloading the game, the progress bars will reflect the exact state, allowing you to pick up right where you left off.

In today’s devlog, we’ve prepared another batch of improvements based on your feedback. This time, we’ve added a change that enhances immersion in the game - a new vehicle lighting system!

🔦 Headlights: You can turn them on and off with a button.



🚦 Brake lights: They automatically turn on when braking.



🚨 Warning lights on the tow truck: You can activate them during maneuvers to improve visibility and safety on the road.



But this is just the beginning! Our roadmap includes the implementation of a full day and night cycle, where vehicle lighting will become even more essential.

• Reworked systems from the prologue - we’ve improved the repair view, save system, and quest mechanics for a smoother experience.
  
• Random events with competitors - watch out for other dealers, you’re not the only one hunting for the best deals!
  

Today, we want to introduce a new character you’ll meet in the upcoming demo. Meet Officer Ron Dunn - an experienced lawman who usually patrols Greywood County but occasionally visits the town of Winston Springs to support local operations.



Ron is tied to a new mechanic that can be a lifesaver in the free-play mode of the demo. If you ever run out of money to buy new cars, Ron will have a valuable tip for you. Thanks to his experience and uncanny luck in finding abandoned vehicles, he’ll share information about their locations. All you have to do is go there, pick up the car, restore it, and sell it - allowing you to get back into business! Stay alert and check your email inbox.
