Here's to 2025 and Happy New Year!
[p]Dear Operators and Soldiers,[/p][p][/p][p]It’s that time of the year! The time to celebrate, be grateful and reflect on the past year, and get excited for the year to come. First and foremost, we wanted to address a warm welcome to our newest players and thank our seasoned veterans. Your support means a lot, and your feedback helps to shape the future of Bodycam. [/p][p][/p]
Here’s to 2025!
[p][/p][p]What a year 2025 has been. While 2024 was an exploratory year for us, 2025 has been the theater of the public response to our game, that was amazing and intense. But it tremendously helped us to understand where we were good at and, more importantly, where we needed to improve and eventually reinforce the team. The project became much bigger and the studio had to evolve with it. So we had to learn and adapt the studio shape to stay true to Bodycam and your expectations.[/p][p][/p][p]
[/p][p][/p]
Changing for the best takes time
[p][/p][p]Which is why 2025 has been a transitional and challenging year. We needed to take the studio to the next level and get the resources we needed to fix, improve, stabilize, and give life to our global vision. We had to find the right talents and make sure all the aspects of what a video game needs are filled. Finding the right team members was also time consuming. All of this while scaling up the studio very quickly, reviewing our entire processes and pipelines, and keeping the Major Update at heart. It has been a bit frustrating: we wanted to deliver more content to the community as soon as we could. [/p][p][/p][p]But we couldn’t simply drop it: taking the game to the next level meant introducing new standards and improving the accessibility of Bodycam. More stability, more optimization, meant reviewing the entire core of the game and identifying the best ways to improve it. [/p][p][/p][p]Managing this growth while staying true to our vision and keeping the game self-published have been our biggest pride for this year: the game is funded by you and your support and will preserver its identity no matter what. We’re very happy with what has been delivered this year, including the major update, our two brand new trailers, and our new internal processes. This will last for long and help us to shape the game and its future in a much easier way. [/p][p][/p][p]
[/p][p][/p]
What about 2026?
[p][/p][p]All of this was to introduce 2026, which will be the most exciting year for Bodycam, starting with the next Major Update and many other announcements that we keep to ourselves for now, with good reasons - if we had one lesson to pick within all of what we learnt this year, it’s to communicate more and in a better way. We don’t want to overpromise or show you too much stuff that may not make the final cut. We want to show you real, concrete things you will have in the game.[/p][p][/p]
Let’s talk and not just speak
[p][/p][p]Speaking of communication, we know that it’s one of the most important points and your reception to the increase of our posting and social media presence has been amazing. It’s showing us the way: we see what you like, what you’re expecting, we’re following your conversations and feedback(s), and it really does help us to improve the game. For a very long time, we’ve been focused and centered around the production of the game, and as we didn’t have much to announce, we thought that we didn’t have enough to communicate about, and that’s something that we want to improve. Again, the goal is to communicate and build a genuine link with you, in a better way. Expect as well more surveys and more questions from us, to help to identify what really matters to you.[/p][p][/p][p]
[/p]
Thank you: your support means the world to us
[p][/p][p]To that extent, we wanted to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your outpouring support and feedback. Your passion means so much to us and it’s carrying us every single day. Whether it’s constructive feedback on things you’d like to see improved or changed, or just supporting us because you like the game, or sharing videos and edits, please, keep this coming. [/p][p][/p][p]2026 is going to be a fantastic year, with more regular updates, improving both the realism and optimization that we’re aiming for. The goal for Bodycam and Reissad is clear: create the most memorable and realistic FPS we can, a game that players will love for its level of details, its immersion, and the heart that the studio is pouring in each and every aspect.[/p][p][/p][p]The best is yet to come. See you in 2026, Operators. Have a great celebration tonight, and stay safe.[/p][p][/p][p]We didn’t want to just leave you without small gifts. So enjoy some sneak peeks of what will come next. A new devlog is also in the work. And stay tuned for the updated roadmap for 2026![/p][p][/p][p]PLEASE NOTE: This video shows pre-release and development footage and does NOT reflect the final gameplay and features. [/p][p][/p][p][dynamiclink][/dynamiclink][/p][p][/p][p]Cheers![/p][p]Reissad Studio team[/p]
