Casting Whispers Launches in October 2025, Demo Out Now!
[p]Hey everyone! I’m Lantern Bay, the developer of Casting Whispers, and I want to thank you for checking out my debut game![/p][p]I started my journey in video games as a sound designer. I’ve had the immense privilege to work on games like Horizon Zero Dawn, League of Legends, Westworld Awakening, and so many more with amazing people and teams. I’ve also DM'd for Dungeons & Dragons for years, crafting my own homebrew worlds and systems, and designing new mechanics from scratch. Storytelling is in my DNA, and I’m always excited about new ways to approach it.[/p][p]My favorite games are all about atmosphere; games where you can stop and sit for a moment and really feel the vibe of the space around you, through sound, music, art, and lighting. So when I made Lantern Bay Entertainment, that was what I wanted to do: make atmosphere. Create places that feel just as unique and special when you stand still as when you’re moving.[/p][p]After working in game development for nearly a decade, I decided that I wanted to make a horror game. Horror has the unique ability to make us freeze, whether out of fear or relief. We stop, we listen, and we soak it in. Some of my absolute favorite horror games are Amnesia: The Dark Descent, SOMA, Observer, Scratches, The Mortuary Assistant, and Conrad Stevenson's Paranormal P.I. I wanted to design something that gave players the same sort of feeling I get when I play the greats.[/p]
Introducing Casting Whispers — Coming October 2025
[p]1961.
