[p]Say hi to our third patch, just a few days over a week since launch! We're loving seeing all the mad creations and hilarious stories coming from your time in Silver City!
As well as a large batch of bug fixes, this update introduces a new NPC as well as a brand new plushie trinket: Mister Pickles and his Witch Doll![/p][p][/p][p]We wanted to include Mister Pickles in the launch build last week, but you know what cats are like; they'll arrive in their own sweet time! So here he finally is. [/p][p][/p][p]Also we've been listening to all the feedback we've received, and have fixed what we think are some of the biggest issues that we were seeing reported - specifically players getting stuck with no customers or seeing items disappear - thankfully neither of which was not affecting too many people.[/p][p][/p][p]We're also aware that some people coming from Early Access are disappointed by the lack of carry over with the saves. We've got a
guide for you here, and are keen to do what we can to ameliorate the problem. [/p][p][/p][p]On that note, if there's anything going wrong, the first port of call should be
our discord - we're often able to fix issues with save games to step around problems for people, although sadly at the moment, that does not include carrying over progress from the EA version.
With all that said, here's what we've managed to fix! Enjoy![/p][p][/p]
- [p]We've made some changes that should stop Nomia from refusing to leave the customer window after you've dismissed them.[/p]
- [p]The game no longer autosaves just the contents of your Stash when loading a save file, so immediately hard quitting will no longer result in the loss of all trinkets in your workshop![/p]
- [p]We've changed the Quest Tracker icon for summoning NPCs from a bell to an envelope to avoid confusion with the bell on the customer desk. [/p]
- [p]We've implemented a fix to prevent you clicking through conversations too quickly and missing the dialogue. You can still spam through, it just was sometimes skipping a full panel entirely which was not ideal for anyone.[/p]
- [p]Rebooting the game no longer advances the quest wait timer by the number of time slots already played on a save, thus triggering all the side quests to start firing at once! If you were feeling like you'd have a really long run of customers just one after another, this will have them arriving at the intended and much more chill pace.[/p]
- [p]You can no longer select trinkets on shelves behind the open Stash book when upcycling. Which is great, cos it was really easy to accidentally pick something up and get confused.[/p]
- [p]Picking up trinkets before the upcycling connection animation has completed will no longer result in a missing connection line between trinket and socket.[/p]
- [p]We've tweaked Akilah's quest to make it clear that he wants \four\ trinkets attached to his Wooden Mask.[/p]
- [p]We've added in a handful of new expression changes for the named NPCs - more to come in a future update![/p]
- [p]Sound effects for the Delver Licence stamp, toggling pages in the Stash book and dismissing customers are now in.[/p]
- [p]The armoire now creaks![/p]
- [p]The correct text babble now plays for each NPC when there's more than one character on screen at the same time.[/p]
- [p]There are now new audio sliders to allow you to turn off the NPC voiceover and also the sound of the shop bell.[/p]
- [p]Collette's hitbox is no longer misaligned.[/p]
- [p]Dialogue response boxes will no longer shift about on screen. Nobody mentioned this really, but it was bugging the crap out of the dev team.[/p]
- [p]The Confirm and Cancel options on Expansion Mode panels now scale with font size and should be at least partially visible underneath the Quest Tracker when expanded.[/p]
- [p]We've fixed an issue where trinkets could trigger the Stash book's drop animation into an endless loop that locked up the game.[/p]
- [p]The Black Flame Candles are now, well, black![/p]
- [p]The continue indicator arrow on dialogue panels will no longer become misaligned.[/p]
- [p]You can no longer see the Sorcerer's Focus Gem through its puzzle blocks.[/p]
- [p]We've adjusted the dirt on the Melty Teacup Handle and the Carved Whistle to make them a tad easier to clean with the level 1 sponge, as some people were getting stuck on 99%. [/p]
- [p]Nimble Jack no longer has an elongated neck when he is upcycled (if your existing Nimble Jack still has a stretched neck, then you'll need to remove and reattach his head in order to see the change).[/p]
- [p]The Lute was too large and powerful, so we've shrunk it to make it easier to handle - remember to rotate trinkets with WASD if you're having trouble placing them on the sales mat.[/p]
- [p]We've increased the size of the Calligraphy Pen Nib so it is much easier to see and pick up. [/p]
- [p]It's no longer possible to connect a compass, or a bottle, or some other weird things through the centre of the Artisanal Hand.[/p]
- [p]The Seer's Rabbit Skull and Bone Ring will no longer change orientation once the upcycling ceremony is complete.[/p]
- [p]Fixed some typos in the Game Guide and one in Jaq's dialogue.
Also we've talked about unveiling the roadmap soon, and while we're not quite as far along with that as we'd like, we do have something here to show you we mean business![/p]
