Prepare to return to Farmouth Island in the most ambitious version of The Bornless we’ve ever released. The "Fractured Souls" update introduces new characters, new systems, massive visual improvements, and more, in preparation for the playtest and then Steam Next Fest!
Here’s everything you can expect in the latest build:
48-Hour Server Uptime
For the first time, during our playtest The Bornless servers will be open continuously for 48 hours, giving players around the world the opportunity to dive in early. Why join now instead of waiting for Steam Next Fest? We’re glad you asked...
Persistent Account Progression
With 10 Playable Characters and 3 Playable Demons to unlock, getting in early means getting ahead. All inventory and unlocks from this playtest will carry forward into Steam Next Fest. So, if you want a head start, this is your moment.
Seekers & Demons
Whether you prefer stealth, chaos, precision, or destruction, there’s a Seeker for every playstyle, and a Demon to match. Each playable Demon offers a unique set of abilities, giving you the power to terrorize and dominate your enemies in entirely new ways.
Trading & Quests with Haag
Scarcity defines the gameplay in The Bornless, and that’s where Haag comes in. Haag is your connection between matches, offering fresh quests and trade opportunities for precious Gold. Complete tasks or barter junk for rare items to improve your odds of survival.
Visual Overhaul
The entire game has undergone a huge visual upgrade. We’ve enabled Nanite, Lumen, and hardware ray tracing, offering higher fidelity models, better lighting, sharper shadows, and stunning reflections.
More Secrets…
Farmouth Island continues to evolve. From hidden Enigmas and ancient crypts to entirely new locations and enhanced enemy behaviors, there’s always something lurking in the fog.
