Early Access - Update #55 - New land!

Today's update brings the New Lands update, previously in the Beta branch, to everyone!




We'd like to thank all of you that tried the beta and gave us feedback and helped us locate and solve issues!

The Beta branch has now been disabled (if you were on it, you'll be moved back to the main branch).

Changelog (includes updates #53-54 in italic):

New features:
  • Added Town Hall, where you can purchase new land and travel to it.


Improvements:
  • You can now exchange positions of two shops in town by moving one over the other, so you no longer need to move one of them to an empty space.
  • Added smoke to the farm tombstones.
  • Each splitscreen player will now see its own fairy.
  • Changed initial farm layouts to be slightly more flat in some cases. This only applies to new farms.
  • Improved overall performance when quickly moving around the farm (specially on photo mode).


Gameplay changes:
  • Slightly increased starting inventory size for some resources.
  • Increased level cap of warehouse and town shops to 140.
  • Increased inventory increase for every warehouse upgrade level.


Bugfixes:
  • Fixed color issues in water reflection during night.
  • Fixed being unable to place event decorations in planters/frames once the event is over.

(Beta) Update #54 - Bugfixes

Today we're releasing a new update on the beta branch, fixing a number of things.

As a reminder: If you have tried the beta branch, you should not go back to the main one. Farms saved on newer versions can't be loaded in previous versions.

Bugfixes:
  • Fixed tractor fuel not being properly mantained when loading a new land.
  • Fixed potential issues when loading new lands with other players connected.
  • Fixed tractor fuel not being properly synchronized on network clients when loading a new land.
  • Fixed restore backups not working properly with the new land system.
  • Fixed one of the backup files not being properly created.

Early Access Beta Update #53 - New land!

In today's update, we're adding a new town building, the town hall, that will allow you to purchase new land and travel to it.



This feature requires a signficant change in the save file format, so we're releasing it in a beta branch so people can opt-in for testing before pushing it to the main branch.

If no important issues are found, we'll probably publish the update to everyone on Monday.

Beta Branch instructions:
In order to join, from the Steam library, right click on the game->properties->Betas and select the Beta branch.

While the change should be smooth and we don't expect important errors, we recommend joining the beta branch only if you have a backup or are aware of the risk of damage to your save file.

It's not recommended to switch back to the public branch once you've joined the beta. This may cause data loss.

How to backup your save:
While the game automatically creates backups of your farms and other save data from time to time, and we don't expect a catastrophic save data loss, you may want to keep another one just in case. The easiest way is to go to settings->support->browse log files and creating a zip file of the "SteamStorage" folder.

Early Access Update #52 - Bugfix update

Today we're releasing a small update with a bunch of fixes.

Improvements:
  • Shops' showcase will now be lit at night
  • Terrain meshes will not be updated until a local player enters range. This should help improve performance with lots of farmhands working on the farm, depending on the draw distance setting.


Bugfixes:
  • Fixed Localization missing from event details window.
  • Fixed fountain size having the wrong size.
  • Fixed fairy not showing up in the wardrobe during the day.
  • Fixed townspeople icons not showing up properly in the map.
  • Fixed interaction being shown when selecting a tile add-on (sprinkler or glowstick).
  • Fixed Feeders not being hidden properly when locked.

Early Access Update #51 - New fish, new emotes!

Today we're adding new emotes and new fish to unlock, and a new decoration to place in the farm (the big fountain from the town).

New content:
  • New fish: Sardine (3 variants)
  • New decoration: Large Fountain
  • Added 2 new unlockable gestures.


Improvements:
  • Event is automatically unpinned once you complete it. It can be pinned again if you want, but you'll get no new rewards by getting more tickets.


Bugfixes:
  • Fixed flowers having the wrong height after modifying their tiles in some way (such as placing a sprinkler).
  • Fixed creepy pumpkins showing as purple in the map.
