Further Prologue Updates and Improvements

Officers,

We continue our work on improving the prologue. All of it is based on the invaluable feedback with which you've been providing us and of course our drive to improve your experience with our preview of the game. So, today we're rolling out another update, this one for version 0.7.5.13, patch 0.4.

Here's a brief reminder of the recent changes to the prologue:

  • Updated difficulty levels: the Easy level now provides conditions better suited for getting to know the game's mechanics while the other levels were adjusted to improve the gameplay experience
  • Updated Civilian behavior: Civilians are now more willing to comply with SWAT operatives' orders.
  • Adjusted FXAA anti-aliasing to improve its visual presentation.
  • Reconfigured the lobby system to focus on manually adding players via Steam friends list to improve the co-op experience.
  • Fixed a stability issue reported to occur when Officers are in combat and when Suspects deploy grenades against you.
  • Fixed the issue of grenade icons not appearing on screen for grenades thrown by Suspects.
  • Based on your reports, we've resolved a number of matters that could cause the game to become unstable. Your general experience with the prologue's stability should now be improved.

Version 0.7.5.13, patch 0.4 changes:

  • The Briefing screen has been revamped with more compacted sections for easier, more intuitive navigation. Many of our players have been, for example, skipping the option of selecting the entry point where you start the mission. We intend for this to make the Briefing features easier to access.
  • Fixed an issue that allowed the camera to clip through walls and doors.
  • Fixed an issue where some barricaded doors were in the wrong position for players who joined someone else's multiplayer lobby (clients).
  • We've reworked a number of the game's features. They are now not impacted so much by the players' internet connection during co-op gameplay, which should result in general performance improvements in the game.

šŸ‘‰ CRUCIAL NOTE: Please remember that the functioning of the multiplayer lobby depends on the host as well. Make sure you have a stable internet connection and your configuration meets the game's specs if you wish to host a game.

Standby for further updates.

Over and out,
SWAT Commander Team
