Soulslinger enters the limbo of Steam Next Fest: October 2023! 🔥

Happy Monday, fellow gunslingers! 🤠
Once again, it's about time for the fabulous Steam Next Fest! Until October 16 hundreds of demos are live here on Steam, connected to hundreds of streams, developer specials, and much more. Exciting times for sure, and you definitely don't want to miss this!
And Soulslinger: Envoy of Death is aboard for Steam Next Fest as well! Just scroll down and click the green "Download" button to get your hands on the demo. And as promised, we updated the demo for Steam Next Fest! This is the complete list of new and updated features, balance changes and bugfixes:
NEW / UPDATED FEATURES:
- New relic: the Purse of Prosperity, you can get the schematic from the pirate vendor
- A new pre-rendered cinematic teases the story's main mystery
- Added boss stages -- the King's Guard each have a secondary boss phase which brings new, more powerful spells for them!
- Added more weight to enemy movements, replaced several animations and added sfx and vfx to enhance this
- Added FOV option
- Summoner enemies have improved AI, they can now rush in and strike you down with an AOE attack
- Added invert Y option
- Redesigned and added the shader compilation screen back into the game, should alleviate the remaining stutters
- Added tutorial for fast reload
- Poison will now expire after a while
- Corrupted Decoy has less health (i.e. enemies kill it faster). Its own automatic expiration still happens at the same speed.
- Fire explosions deal more damage (instead of 1.5x normal damage, it now deals 2x)
- Reduced shotgun spread for more accuracy / usability
- Reduced shotgun second bullet bonus damage, but increased base damage
- Ultimate abilities are now recharged by successful shots instead of time and will not be auto-recharged at the end of a battle
- Increased the health of both King's Guard bosses
- Reduced the aim assist amount
- Fixed the "Fatal error!" crash
- Fixed the bug where the game started in a different resolution than the main screen, only showing a quarter of the full game
- Fixed an exploit where you could cause enemies to deal 0% damage
- Fixed a bug where Shock Bullet did not remain available after use with Overload
- Fixed several cases where stunning an enemy did not always interrupt their current action
- Fixed enemies spawning in walls in the temple cave arena
- Fixed a bug where enemies were not following you down into the mines in the mine arena
- After a melee attack, a reload is now immediately initiated if ammo is at zero
- Causing an animation glitch by spamming the melee key is no longer possible
- Fixed a bug where Amulet of accuracy did not work with a shotgun as some bullets would definitely miss -- this is now handled per shot, not per bullet!
- Reckless recovery now triggers on all other kills, not just bullet kills
- Fixed missing water material in the initial area
- Restricted regular in-game dialogue after Death's initial convo to prevent overlap between Soulslinger's voice lines
- Fixed a graphical glitch with the gate travel VFX
- Added a black, fullscreen background behind cut-scene videos so you can't see "behind" videos on certain resolutions
- Various minor UI tweaks and fixes
