Patch 5.1.1

First post release patch here to solve a couple of bugs and make some of the mechanics more reliable.

  • Reduced pierce and added damage to enemies (to make shield builds more reliable)
  • Soul order now always starts at the lowest value slot and the second in order cannot be on the highest (to make soul builds more reliable)
  • Dodge now gradually increases by the base dodge every time an enemy hit you but goes back to zero when you successfully dodge, this effect is not visible to the player (to make dodge more reliable)
  • Equipped weapons now share some of the experience that your active weapons get in combat
  • Body skill overload is now the third choice and Focused is now the second


Bugs
  • Unfocused curse now applies the -1 earlier and prevents the card from being used if it is being killed
  • Pass turn and end turn now properly works when using spell cards or the board freeze effect

Patch 5.1.0

Finally release date and we have been working a lot since the last BETA patch to make sure the game is as balanced as possible and all the items fulfill a purpose.

I will not post all the changes here since they are too many but the big changes include
  • All weapons except GUN now has 3 turns to complete your phase and will not give you more when leveling up, this is to make it easier to balance and more fun since now you must use the spell cards or relics to achieve your full success.
  • All weapons have undergone changes to damage and other stats according to new balance curve that affect both normal and hard mode.
  • Added a mini boss (King Scarab) that will grant you a better reward when fighting but you can also skip him if it is too hard.
  • Soul persona now shows one step ahead when leveling soul to higher levels.
  • Almost all points on the map have had their rewards revised as well.
  • All persona points have been adjusted slightly and correct graphics applied.


I will not list all the bug fixes here but over 50 bugs have been fixed and that include merchants having the same cards every time you visited him (now they are different each time) and plenty of other rewards will now properly be randomized.

Soul and game balance patch

This patch contains a ton of bug fixes and changes to gameplay.

The big focus has been on making soul and life leech builds more balanced while maintaining a unique playstyle.

Other than the listed changes there have been a lot of tuning and smaller issues resolved as well.

[h3]Gameplay changes[/h3]
  • The Visitor now properly shows the powerlevel and now has even more health
  • Soul Ritual persona now gives you a curse if you fail to follow the correct order, the curse will prevent you from gaining additional turns for a short time
  • You now always start with a base critical damage but it only shows up in combat if you modify it or you critically strike
  • Mummy creature got buffed
  • Sacred pendant relic now gives flat pierce damage instead of converting
  • Red scorpion got buffed quite a bit
  • Relics now level up twice as fast
  • When you level up items you now properly see how much experience you gained


[h3]Bug fixes[/h3]
  • If you leveled an item too much during combat you got no bonuses
  • Life leech got increased two times when critically striking
  • Hidden gift blessing did not grant you the item after combat
  • Curse and Blessing granted from events or flasks should not be the same every time now
  • Dodge was consumed by any active life leech curses from the enemy

A tooltip and mechanics update

A quite big update that will update the tooltips of most curses and blessings while in some cases rework the mechanics completely.

There was a lot of smaller updates but bigger ones include
  • Head of Amnok weapon now uses the new stat Meditation
  • Goblin of Malice weapon now uses the new stat Malice
  • Critical damage is now only displayed when modified or you lock all slots


Fixed a known soft-lock where quickly switching the map menues would prevent you from continue.
