[p]Hello Travelers![/p][p]We want to inform you that the Shape of Dreams: Prologue—loved by many of our Travelers—officially ended its service on August 7 (UTC).[/p][p][/p][p]After this date, the Prologue store page has been disabled, and the Prologue version will no longer be available to add to your library. However, Travelers can continue to enjoy the game through the Shape of Dreams Demo. Save data can also be transferred from the Prologue to the Demo.[/p][p][/p][p][dynamiclink][/dynamiclink]Additionally, by adding Shape of Dreams to your Wishlist, you will automatically receive a notification when the full version launches. Your Demo save data will also carry over to the full version.

[p]Hello Travelers![/p][p]In this travel log, we'd like to share our development philosophy on new items coming to the game, and talk about new banners that will be added.[/p][p][/p][p]The Shape of Dreams demo already has 38 different Memories (excluding Traveler Memories) and 52 Essences. While there are already many combinations and builds possible with these items, we're adding more items to the full version to provide Travelers with a richer experience.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]For example, we're adding various materials to diversify growth paths for ranged attackers, such as Attack Effects, Critical Hit chance, and more.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]We're also adding Memories and Essences that support others to enhance the cooperative experience. In particular, we've heard feedback from many of you who want pure support characters, and we're preparing something to meet your needs. Of course, we're designing these characters, Memories, and Essences to be fun to use in solo play as well.[/p][p][/p][p]If you have any ideas for items that you think are essential for The Rapids, please leave your thoughts in the comments![/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]However, simply increasing the numbers doesn't solve everything. New Memories and Essences should be means to enjoy the game in new ways. When the pool is filled with junk items, it becomes harder to create interesting item builds. Therefore, we're taking a more careful approach to this issue, focusing our efforts on adding meaningful items that define new playstyles or strengthen existing builds.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]In addition to these efforts, we're also preparing to increase the means for Travelers to obtain the items they want, allowing for more freedom in completing combinations. Stay tuned![/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]Veteran adventurers who explore The Rapids grow by overcoming difficult challenges and trials. They deserve respect! For this reason, we're adding numerous banners that can be purchased with Stardust to decorate your nametag, and some will only be obtainable by playing the game for a long time or on difficult settings. Are you enjoying your journey today?[/p][p]Today, we'd like to talk about the evolution and behind-the-scenes of Lacerta, the protagonist and flagship character of Shape of Dreams, while also introducing a new NPC you'll meet in the future![/p][p][/p][p]"Why is the main character a lizard?" is one of the questions we get asked most frequently. First of all, lizards are cute, and unlike dogs or cats, they don't shed fur! They don't bark loudly, and they smell less!! Naturally, we ended up decorating our office with many lizard figurines.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]Unfortunately, our development team can't keep real lizards yet, but turning our office into a lizard habitat someday is one of our important milestones.[/p][p][/p][p]In addition to our obvious love for lizards, we wanted to create a character that was more unique than the ordinary human characters you see in many games.[/p][p][/p][h2]Lacerta's Early Appearance[/h2][p]It was quite a long process before Lacerta became what he is today.[/p][p]In early 2023, we started developing Shape of Dreams with just two engineering students, and although we didn't have an artist on the team, we wanted to create a distinctive and unique character. That's when we thought of taking an ordinary hunter character and adding a lizard head and tail to create a lizardman. Surprisingly, this approach aligned well with our direction of maintaining uniqueness despite our limited artistic sense and skills.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]He looks thinner, simpler, and slightly more goofy than the current Lacerta.[/p][p][/p][h2]Lacerta Today[/h2][p][/p][p]Later, in mid-2024, two artists joined our team, and we've continued developing Shape of Dreams as a team of four. With proper art experts on board, we redesigned all the characters in the game, and Lacerta underwent a complete transformation. After going through some intermediate stages, he now looks like this:[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]He's become much more handsome![/p][p]But it's still not enough. We need to add more lizard friends to the game.[/p][p][/p][p]To meet your daily recommended lizard intake, we're adding as many scaly friends to The Rapids as possible. As part of this effort, we'd like to introduce "Smoothie," one of the NPCs that will be added in the future![/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]Smoothie is a souvenir merchant traveling through The Rapids, whom you might encounter at a low probability during your adventures. He sells many souvenirs for those traveling through the dream world. Equip these souvenirs on your traveler to create your own unique fashion![/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]In addition to souvenirs, Smoothie will also sell mysterious treasures for travelers. You can get various levels of help for your adventure in special ways using Smoothie's treasures. Smoothie will provide various services, such as paying gold to slow down the Hunter, or offering special quests to collect more Stardust.[/p][p][/p][p]That's all we have to share today.
