Starting with Fieldwork release and running through May 30, we’ve substantially increased the drop rates on Steam for all skins from Unknown Signals.

Strong Unknown Signals, which have a chance to drop the rarest skins, are especially rewarding during this period. We’ve also reduced the cooldown between possible skin drops, so you’ll have more chances to earn cosmetic rewards as you play.

Space Engineers: Fieldwork Is Closing In!


Hello, Engineers!

We’re excited to announce the upcoming update for Space Engineers: Fieldwork!

This update brings improved PvE encounters - including a full rework of Cargo Ship and Unknown Signal encounters. Cargo ships are designed to sit between the simpler Unknown Signal encounters and the more dangerous end-game Factorum threats - offering a mid-tier challenge and rewards.

The update also introduces the much-requested Small Oxygen Tank, a Large Grid Small Connector, and a new Prototech Fusion Reactor waiting to be liberated from the Factorum. And that's not all - expect a wide range of quality-of-life improvements. Stay tuned for more details as we get closer to release!

Our favorite pastime is browsing through the workshop - we are in love with all the creations our players are constantly sharing. 💫

We can't wait every month to spotlight mods and blueprints that catch our eye and have the potential to make your time in Space Engineers more interesting and unique.

Here is our spotlight for the month of March! 🤩



[h3]Advanced Pulley Systems by TwitchingPsycho & Daniel "Nero" Drake[/h3]
This mod was created as collaboration between TwitchingPsycho and Daniel "Nero" Drake

This mod contains 3 piston/pulley.


[h3]AQD - Airlock Connectors by enenra[/h3]
This mod adds airlock connectors in two sizes to the game.

Airlock connectors can be used to create airtight connections between grids without using merge blocks. They can only be connected to other airlock connectors of the same type.


[h3]GFA - Imperial Construction by enenra[/h3]
This mod adds various blocks, both decorative and functional, to the game.

The blocks are based off of designs used by the Empire in the Star Wars original trilogy and other media set in that timeframe.


[h3]Federal Industrial - Vacuum Balloons by Frosty[/h3]
Float like a balloon, soar like an airship! Vacuum Balloons provide lift using pure buoyancy, letting your ships rise effortlessly without thrusters or fuel.

Instead of burning propellant, these balloons naturally provide lift, keeping you afloat in planetary atmospheres.


[h3]Satisfactory Scenario by KevMeUp[/h3]
A Satisfactory Scenario in Space Engineers. You start on the Alien Planet with The Hub, Mk1 Mining Unit and the Space Elevator built (Yes, it really works).

You can harvest Biomass, wire your builds, setup long conveyor belts (Pipelines), Make a Tractor or Drone, make a Power Plant, Factories, and earn rewards for sending things into the Awesome Sink.


[h3]IMDC Encounters by ShootingManGold[/h3]
This MES encounter mod brings JD.Horx's IMDC creations old and new into your world using Modular Encounter Systems.

It features space cargo ships, planetary ships, stations, and boss encounters for players and friends to encounter.


[h3]KWP Guns WeaponCore by Khjin[/h3]
German AA Set
- 88mm Flak 36 Gun
- 105mm Flak 39 Gun
- 128mm Flak 40 Gun

Note that these mod packs are still WIP and will receive additional blocks, so stay tuned!


[h3]Roleplay Hacking by not4you403[/h3]
This mod allows you to hack any grid and make it your own!

Whether it's enemy Space Pirate ships, abandoned stations or an other players grid - you can take control through an immersive little role-playing minigame.


[h3]Thruster Core - ION ThrusterPack by kennet0508[/h3]
I'd recommend using something like whip's subgrid thruster controller script if scripts are enabled.

Alternatively you can use event controllers, thrust overrides and toggle power states.


[h3]Stargate Rings by aczel2[/h3]
This is a rework of the Stargate Transporter Rings mod .

This mod features smaller ring platforms in 2x1x1 block size, two versions available.


[h3]Magnesium Reactors by KevMeUp[/h3]
Adds Magnesium Reactors that use Magnesium Powder as fuel.

Includes vanilla and (if you have dlc) warfare 2 versions of reactors.


[h3]G7-D Hell's Iris by Maverick[/h3]
G7-D was a strange anomaly detected in deep space. At first it was mistaken for a black hole due visual imaging received, but later scans revealed it to be something else entirely.

The most brilliant minds within the scientific community cannot begin to fathom, let alone, explain the vast majority of impossible traits that surround G7-D.


[h3]Doomsday Missile Script by F8Code[/h3]
This script was designed to work with the warhead deployment system I designed.

For those interested in debugging and real-time missile logic visualization, I've also created a version of this script that utilizes the DebugAPI mod.

Pirates Have Breached The Airlock!


Small details can make a big impact, bringing your creations to life just as much as the overall design. That’s why we’re introducing the Set Light Color action! This new feature lets you change light colors dynamically using toolbar actions. No more need for multiple lights in airlocks to indicate pressurisation!
But why stop there? In this upcoming update, you'll also be able to use Set Thruster Override, Wheel Suspension Propulsion to name a few.
