Dev Diary #1 β The Story Behind PROJECT HUNT

[p]Hello hunters, π[/p][p]Iβm the developer of PROJECT HUNT. Thank you for playing, leaving feedback, and supporting the game.[/p][p][/p]
Who I am
[p]Iβve been making games for about 20 years, primarily with C++ and Unreal Engine.
I previously worked at Ubisoft, and I also worked on DLCs for theHunter: Call of the Wild.[/p][p]PROJECT HUNT has been in development for three years. For most of that time, I built it alongside my full-time job, working nights, weekends, and any spare time I had.
Recently, I made the decision to transition into full-time development on the project. π[/p][p]Iβm building PROJECT HUNT as a solo developer - design, code, content, and updates. π [/p][p][/p]
Why I started PROJECT HUNT
[p]I love hunting games, and I really respect how many of them focus on realism.
With PROJECT HUNT, I wanted to create something different, more focused on gunplay and the joy of shooting. π―[/p][p]My goal was to make every hunt feel satisfying, whether you play for 30 minutes or three hoursβwith clear feedback, strong impact, and those moments where you instantly think, βThat was a great shot.β [/p][p]Immersion still matters, but my priority is a moment-to-moment experience that feels fun, responsive, and rewarding. [/p][p][/p]
What Iβm focusing on next
More animals? More weapons/scopes? A new map? More trophy features? Or quality-of-life?[/p][p]Leave your answer in the comments. I read them and use them to plan updates. π¬π[/p][p][/p]
See you in the next update! Happy hunting! π[/p][p][/p]
