  • Fixed bug where players would be sent back to main world map if they used continue/retry in a fight in the mountain or mall.

  • Fixed some typos: important updated heal upgrade now properly says heal 4 at the start of every fight.
  • Fixed annoying issue with "..." appearing mid height of sentence, now properly placed at the bottom.

Skogdal Major Update 1 - version 1.1.0

Out first major update is finally live!

For this update we have gone through all the feedback we have gotten. We hope the changes manages to fix issues you have had, and change the game for the better, also some new content!



Game Difficulty:
We have gotten a lot of feedback regarding the game's difficulty. Many players have reported the game being too difficult, and feeling frustration regarding playing the first runs over and over again as they are not able to progress the game. Our vision has always been for the game to be challenging, but not appear to be only for the most hardcore (card game) players out there! With this update, we have added a whole new feature to help address this, in addition to some minor balance tweaks.



Updates:
  • New Feature: Player lives, for any given run, you now have 3 lives - when you die, you can retry from the start of the last location you reached. Our goal with this feature is to give you multiple chances against the most difficult enemies, to help alleviate against the frustration of reaching the end of a long run, only to die against an enemy you have never faced and were unprepared against. We believe this also gives creates fun tension, with a few more shots at making it, and also more forgiving towards player's time. Still, if your deck is simply not good enough, you likely won't make it regardless.
  • New playable character/skin: Bat Man, unlocked by getting a couple of proper game overs, or alternatively reaching late game, has a powerful starting deck that should kickstart you into winning runs!
  • Buffed fuses Double Punch and Double Block, making you generally slightly stronger late in runs.
  • Buffed Punker follower, as it was maybe too niche, now he also gives block when sacrificed, to support more builds.
  • Buffed gain health upgrade every fight from 3 to 4, to make this a more attractive option.
  • New card fuse: Coffee with Milk.
  • New follower: Rockstar. Funny story, I did an error when I implemented the original release character, as me and my brother kept talking abouta follower we wanted to have: Rockman/Blockman, I thought we were talking about a big buff "The Rock character", while my brother was thinking Rockman -> Rockstar. Anyhow, now we have both!
  • Updated Crib starting drafts, after completing the first run, now you get to choose between 3 card bundles instead of 2, and after completing the second run, you get to choose between 4 followers for best friend. Making it more likely to get started with an interesting deck.
  • Added credits for localization team.
  • Added a missing transformation effect for a certain boss (HM).
  • Adjusted card unlocks, some cards appear earlier, and made final milestones much faster (the final ones were way too slow and grindy).
  • Made booster pack opening even more awesome (yes, we HAVE played Vampire Survivors)!
  • Improved tooltips for location clues (HM).
  • Improved visual effects for certain followers and cards, for example: Wrestler, Yuppie and Die Roll.
  • Fixed a few more typos.
  • Fixed mouse scroll for character grid.
  • Fixed a bug where players would wrongly unlock the secret character.
  • Fixed a bug with Prayer, where you sometimes couldn't revive, even if you should.
  • Fixed a bug with Card Sleeves and cards that returns cards from removed pile.
