Demo Patch 23. March 2024 II

Fixed an additional bug with followers not being affected by Spray cost change (even if the card's displayed cost changed). So if you sprayed a 2-cost follower, it would then display 1, but actually cost you 2 still.

Various smaller fixes in preparations for the Steam Deckbuilder Fest:

  • Added links to Skogdal Presskit, for content creators if they want to make video content or similar.
  • Small adjustments to rarity and chances of getting rares and rare followers.
  • Made tutorial texts be a bit simpler for new players.
  • Made the 2-cards bundle draft only contain 2 options (less overwhelming for new players).
  • Adjustments to a few cards, balance and rarity (for example Pyromaniac to uncommon).
  • Minor typo fixes (draft a draft...)


Demo Update 15. Mars 2024




Finally it's here! We now have a new major demo update live! We are quite happy with the state of the demo now, and this will be it's final major update.

With this update we a have lot new content in the demo, along with tons of fixes and balance adjustments:
  • A new alternative path on the map, with new locations to visit. We also updated and made some changes to existing locations.
  • Lots of new cards:
    - We now have proper support for a Burn build.
    - We have a lot of new special cards with unique effects.
    - We have balanced and adjusted some cards.
  • Update to settings menu:
    - More screen mode settings.
    - More FPS settings.
    - Settings to change background contrast for improved readability.
    - Settings to toggle on larger cards; we have gotten feedback that cards can be hard to read on Steam Deck and smaller screens. Would love to hear if this makes it better?
  • Various bug fixes.
  • Improved texture packaging, with slightly better performance and smaller game size.






We are looking forward to Steam Deckbuilder Fest in one and a half week, crossing fingers it might be create more interest in our game!

Demo Update 06. February 2024

We originally planned to wait until we have more content for the next update, but since Steam Next Fest has started (we are not officially part of it), we are still getting more visitors to Skogdal. With that, we figured we could push a new update.

We have new cards, balancing and some fixes today, then in a couple of weeks, we will bring the BIG demo update ;)


Here's what's new:
  • New cards along with tons of new card mechanics, as highlighted in the art below.
  • A big pass on card balancing and card changes, we have moved a few cards around to make sure "themes" fit better. Looking at you Mystery Pills, with inspiration from a certain action roguelike...
  • Changed Burn, this might get an balance pass with the next update. Burn now lasts 2 turns, and deals X damage per turn. If you apply more burn while burn is already active, duration is reset and damage increased. Our goal is to make Burn sustained damage over time, but with the condition that you continually have to stoke the flames.
  • Fixed some typos and text issues.
  • Added hint to cards you draft, if you already have a card it can Fuse with.
  • Other misc fixes.




The next update will contain new locations to visit along the run featured in the demo, along with even more cards and fixes!
