[/p][p][/p][p]Turkish Language Support: We’ve added a new officially supported language to Metalstorm! Turkish players will now see their language as an option in Settings which features full localization across the game. [/p][p][/p][h2]Game Engine Update[/h2][p] Over a year in the making, we are pleased to finally get the much-anticipated game engine upgrade out to all our pilots. Some of you may notice visual or performance enhancements, but the things you don’t see are the real prize here. Upgrading as big as we have will provide our team with stability, access to better and more tools, the ability to jump on issues more efficiently, and more capabilities to develop new kinds of content.. like night maps ;)[/p][p][/p][p]We want to extend a sincere gratitude to those of you who have helped in any of the playtesting opportunities to help us get this across the finish line, and we thank everyone for giving us your patience and time while we focused efforts on quality improvements. Our team is on alert and monitoring the dashboards to make sure we can address any issues/bugs that could arise with a new engine, but rest assured we are equally as excited as you to start releasing some of the content we have been teasing to you. [/p][p][/p][h2]General Updates[/h2][p]Android Minimum Version: Alongside this update, Metalstorm will now require users to be on at least Android 10.[/p][p][/p][p]Korean Localization Update: We have done a large pass overhauling and updating the Korean language localization. 즐기다![/p][p][/p][p]Minimap Update: You will now have cardinal directions (North, South, East & West) available to reference on your minimap in game. • [p]Pixel 6 Only: Mig-21 Default + MiG-23 Swoosh paints are showing as black.,[/p]

• [p]North and South are not showing when the big map view is opened.,[/p]
• [p]On Crucible, the MVP screen may show bright lava reflections.,[/p]

We have switched from Xsolla as the payment provider for our WebShop to FastSpring. This will not change the way you use the website, but you may notice the checkout experience has a slight change. Note: Star Points are not affected by this change.

[h3]New Hangar Buttons[/h3] Player Quests: Pilots new and old will now be able to progress and claim a variety of rewards through the new Quests button in the hangar. Earn new rewards when this goes live!

2025 Metalstorm Spring Invitational: Another new button you will see in the hangar–the inaugural Spring Invitational is right around the corner! Spanning across two weekends of Qualifier + Playoff events, be sure to check out the sweatiest Metalstorm competition as they compete for gold, prizes from Backbone, and cold hard cash. For our viewers, we’ll have giveaways and maybe even a special reveal or two we won’t be sharing anywhere else 😉



[h3]New Naming Systems[/h3] Squadron Tags: Your Squadron Tags will now be directly connected to your Pilot Name. You will now no longer have to type these into your pilot names if you want to represent your squadron. By default, yours and other players will be visible. If you do not wish to see these tags however, you can go to your personal Settings and disable the toggle towards the bottom.

Name Changes: As mentioned in the new post from last week, we are making some changes to name changes. When this update goes live, all players will receive one free name change token. Subsequent pilot name changes will cost 169 gold, and squadron changes will cost 359 gold.

[h3]General Updates[/h3] Death Marks: Whenever someone is eliminated in battle, you will now see a big X marked over their plane on the scoreboard. This is to help better communicate when someone is out of combat.

Spectator Hotkeys: In the Spectator Bindings section, you can now enable hotkeys for Players 1-10. Now, whenever you are spectating a match, you can quickly swap between specific players without having to go down the list one by one.

iOS Minimum Requirements: The iOS min version will be increasing with this update from iOS 14 to iOS 16. Please make sure your device meets this requirement in order to continue flying unaffected.

- Hangar Level changed from 3 to 4.

Mirage M.III
- Hangar Level changed from 4 to 3.

Bug Fixes
Art:
- Fixed an art issue with the shorelines on Stone Forest.
- Fixed some map exploits in Crimson Canyon.
- Fixed an issue with the lighting in the hangar.
- Fixed an issue with floating paint lines while opening crates.
Crashes:
- Fixed an error some players were hitting upon match entry.
UX/UI:
- Fixed a spectator color issue when switching views of each team.
- Fixed an issue with the account menu showing again after initial confirmation.
