Hello, Creators.
1. inZOI ModKit Release
The inZOI ModKit is an official tool created to make modding inZOI simple and accessible for everyone. It will be available for download on the Epic Games Store after the May update, and will include the following features.
◆ Downloadable assets
- Mesh files (.fbx) and JSON data files for set outfits and furniture will be made available after the May update, and support for additional assets will be added in future updates.
- By editing JSON files used in the game, players will be able to freely adjust in-game states and conditions.
- ex. Craft beds that fill the Sleep gauge in 5 minutes.
- ex. Modify romantic conversations to make Zois feel Aflutter for 10 hours.
◆ Plug-ins for Maya and Blender

- Official plugins for Maya and Blender will be provided to make creating 3D assets for inZOI easier.
- These plugins will allow you to conveniently import downloaded mesh files for your projects.
◆ Modding with Unreal Engine
- Meshes or JSON files created using Maya or Blender can be imported with the ModKit to create modding projects in the form of Unreal Plugins.
◆ CurseForge compatibility

- Created mods can be uploaded to CurseForge for packaging.
- An in-game interface that allows Creators to search and download uploaded mods will be added in the future.
2. Modding Roadmap
To expand inZOI's modding ecosystem one step at a time, we've prepared a modding roadmap for 2025. We will build upon core features with each update while continuing to make improvements based on your feedback.

◆ May Update
The May update will introduce quality-of-life features related to modding, as well as a data editor to make editing game data easier. In addition to this, the inZOI ModKit will also be officially released.
◆ September Update
The September update will introduce modding features for character appearances and buildings. Support for interaction-based mods will also be added, allowing players to create mods for scripted conversations, voices, rewards, and character animations.
◆ December Update
The December update will allow most outfits to be modded and introduce features for script editing and localization. We hope this will help create an environment where Creators can freely produce content with greater depth and variety.
3. Other Information
inZOI's Modifications Policy will be published on our official website in mid-May 2025. It will include key guidelines on creating and using mods, as well as important details on restrictions, ownership, and monetization for mods.
We will continue to listen to your feedback and work towards creating a better modding environment for inZOI. As part of this commitment, we will be hosting an Ask Me Anything (AMA) session focused on modding and opening a dedicated feedback channel. Further details will be announced in May via a separate post.
Please look forward to the future of modding in inZOI!
Thank you,
The inZOI Team
