Car simulation
The Car physic simulation has been significantly improved during Early Access offering a more realistic behaviour of each individual car performance stat.
Each car stat (Acceleration, Top speed, Handling and Tire durability) directly influence how each car performs on every corner and straight lines across different race conditions and circuits. Cars with a greater Acceleration stat now exit out of corners faster, those with a higher Top Speed stat are reaching higher speed in straight lines. Investing in the Tire Duration stat will allow you to extend stints to reduce the number of pit stops required, especially in Endurance races.

In the race, the 3 racing speeds (Preserve, Regular, and Push) now have a more accurate impact on the lap times, tire degradation, fuel consumption and overtaking ability. Selecting the right pace at the right moment is crucial—especially when each circuit has different characteristics that will influence your performance and therefore your strategy. High speed tracks will maximise the benefit of the car Top speed, while lap times will definitely be lower on twisty tracks with a higher Acceleration and Handling stat.

We’ve also added the ability to Setup the car before the Qualifying session to balance the car performance stats according to the circuit characteristics and the race conditions. The Car Setup is divided into 3 sections: The car Chassis, Engine and Aero. The Chassis setup can be balanced to favour cornering over tire wear, the engine setup top speed over torque and the Aero can increase the downforce in exchange for a lower drag reduction.
