Gameplay Deep Dive #6 - Focus on the Drivers

In GT Manager, as in endurance racing as a whole, each team consists of multiple drivers, each bringing either similar strengths or diverse characteristics to enhance overall performance throughout a race weekend. In this Deep Dive, we'll explore how the driver system works and introduce you to all the drivers available for signing.

How will you sign your drivers?

➡️ At the start of each season as team manager, you'll be responsible for recruiting four drivers for your team. When making your selection, you'll need to consider various factors, including each driver's core strengths, salary demands, and season objectives.

➡️ Each driver has four different statistics:

Speed: Their raw pace on the track.
Wet Speed: How well they perform in wet weather conditions.
Overtaking: Their skill in executing overtakes with ease.
Consistency: Their ability to maintain fast lap times over longer stints.

➡️ Throughout the season, you’ll have the chance to train not only your drivers but also the supporting team around them. Each crew includes two specialized engineers, and both crews share the same training facility, which can be equipped with a sports coach, a mental coach, and various training equipment. Any additional staff or equipment you introduce into the facility will enhance one of the four key driver statistics, but it will also increase the overall cost of maintaining the building.
