[p]The one year anniversary of Avowed is upon us.[/p][p]Last week, Gameplay Director Gabe Paramo and Lead Character Designer Dimitri Berman spoke with the New Game+ Showcase crew about what players can expect in the next update: the new quarterstaff weapon, photo mode, a new game plus mode, and new playable races! The game is also now available for $49.99 for the base edition and $59.99 for the premium edition.[/p][p][dynamiclink][/dynamiclink][/p][p]We have more to share about the update in the weeks to come as we approach the February 17th release date—stay tuned![/p]

Avowed won't be getting the final update devs Obsidian had planned for this year. Instead the studio have opted to save putting out the new game plus mode they'd planned for this autumn for a big update to make the RPG's first birthday in February. To make up the extra wait, the anniversary update'll be adding some mystery extra bits alongside the already announced features.

The autumn patch was originally set to be the third update delivered to the nature-rific blunderbuss adventure this year. The last one to arrive was the summer update, which aimed to round out the fighting skills of non-magic users so that wizards weren't having all of the fun.

[p]Hello, Envoys![/p][p][/p][p]If you’ve been following along with our updates for Avowed you would know that according to our road map, we said we would have an update coming this fall. You would also know that update would bring New Game Plus, Photo Mode, a new weapon type and a few other features.[/p][p][/p][p]If you’ve checked out a calendar you may have also noticed that fall is quickly running out.[/p][p][/p][p]To break the bad news first, Avowed will not be receiving a fall update. With that out of the way, the good news: instead of a fall update, we will be releasing an update around the anniversary of the game’s release next February that will bring everything that was scheduled for the fall update as well as some more features to make it the biggest update for the game yet.[/p][p][/p][p]What we’ll be bringing to the Living Lands in the anniversary update is something we hope will surprise our players. So, stay tuned and keep an eye on our channels as we get into the new year for news about what is still to come in Avowed.[/p]
