Experimental Branch - Futures Market

[p]With the upcoming full launch in August, I told myself no more big features but the futures market was too good to pass up. It integrates well with the existing game mechanics/economic simulation and fulfils some player's requests for ways to blow up their lives on the financial markets.[/p][p]This has been released on the Experimental branch.[/p][p][/p][p]When trading futures, you are essentially predicting the price of an asset at a future date. If you guess correctly, you can make big profits. If you guess wrong, you can lose more than your initial investment and go into debt.[/p][p][/p][p]It can also be used to protect your businesses against unexpected price rises. For example, you own a Lemonade Stand and think the price of Lemons will rise faster due to increasing Agriculture inflation. To offset this rising expense, buy a futures contract.[/p][p][/p][p]Of course, if you get it wrong and the price of Lemons crashes, you can lose a lot of money.[/p][p][/p][p]I've also gone through every asset and adjusted the industry tags for more consistency and variety between items. There was also a bug causing the industry inflation effect to be slightly weaker than expected. This means you might notice some assets/wages/utilities/etc getting a price change when loading existing saved games.[/p]
