New Tree of Talents and the Next Update Preview
Lightnings,
I’ve been cooking.
I’m excited to share that VOIN: Permafrost - a massive new update - is scheduled to be released in June. Watch the new devlog below to see what’s coming next.
But I can’t leave you waiting that long without something new, can I?
The Reflected Tree of Talents
Step into the Hall of Reflections in the Amarict and behold the newest addition to that sacred room - The Reflected Tree of Talents.
The tree already awaits you in the game.

This Tree reflects your inner soul, the very essence of what makes you VOIN.
It represents all current and future skills you unlock and acquire throughout your runs.
Locate and obtain the Soulfruits during your runs, and bring them to the Tree. That way, you can unlock new, powerful passive skills to help on your mission to cleanse this world.
You can assign and reassign these skills directly on the Reflected Tree of Talents while visiting the Hall of Reflections. You will unlock new skill slots as you level up.

Note: ⚡ indicates changes inspired by community!
Additions 🆕
- The Tree of Talents. Explore the world and find 24 Soulfruits, which you can attach to the Tree of Talents inside the Hall of Reflection to gain various passive bonuses!
- ⚡ Automatic inventory sorting by type (similar items are grouped).
- ⚡ Items can be added to 'Favorite' list. Favorite items always stay on top of the inventory and can't be dropped.
- ⚡ Sky Nodes were added to the Lost City of Omixeer dungeon under the White Mountain Citadel.
- The leveling experience has been remade—kill monsters, gain experience, and level up as soon as you have enough experience.
- ⚡ Unique items (such as The Snakes, Constellations, The Mace of Spirits Repose) can now drop as loot after you pick them up for the first time.
- The Field of View for the character’s hands is calculated independently from the camera’s.
- Veilrender’s enchantment, Avatar of Undeath, now ticks every 1.2–1.0 seconds instead of 0.5–0.35 seconds.
- In order to freeze an enemy, 12 stacks of Freezing are required instead of 11.
- Shattering frozen enemies does 5x physical damage to all enemies nearby instead of 6x damage.
- Alum Heart’s max stacks have been reduced to 3, and the time it takes to restore charges has been doubled. The timer also resets upon losing temporary or permanent heart charges.
- All enchantments calculate their damage correctly now.
- Improved performance of various aspects of enemies (CPU and GPU related).
- Optimized the Frostfangs ice pillars. The game won't lag anymore when a lot of them are spawned simultaneously.
- Converted the project to Unreal Engine 5.5. Let me know if you notice any performance issues.
Until next time,
~ Nikita
