LIFE FINDS A WAY. DOMMEBREAKER DEMO IS LIVE!

It's us. We're life. We found a way. Actually, we didn't do much of anything, but suddenly the demo was just approved. Near the end of Next Fest, though, so we couldn't join that anymore. Hence why we're releasing it today! Yes, it's released right now! Play it! After reading this! Or before. I don't know, do whatever.

Fair warning, we're not gonna change the texts in the demo that reference Next Fest nor are we changing the feedback form. It's funnier that way. To me, at least. We'll just pretend everything went entirely according to plan. Personally, I spent quite a bit of time these last couple days on trying a bunch of games, adult and otherwise. That hasn't stopped us from making time for DommeBreaker, of course.

So what did we do this month while the demo was in limbo? Continued working on Shizuru, naturally. Specifically, we decided the old designs for Stages 2 and 3, although thematically fitting, weren't sexy and saucy enough. We redid the design for the Stage 2 combat and came up with an improved concept for Stage 3. Still have to do the actual design there, meaning abilities and texts, but we know what we're going for.

There will have to be some script changes as well to explain the new combat designs and make those work in the overall narrative we're going for with Shizuru, but that's all just a matter of some time and work. This is, by the way, why we decided to start with the combat for Shizuru rather than focusing on the story scenes first. The story for a Domme shapes the initial combat ideas, but the combat is the juiciest part of the game and what we expect people to enjoy/remember the most. Making the combat the best we can and then making small adjustments to the story should lead to a better overall experience.

So what's the current state of things?
