Release Delayed Again

Hi everyone, 🪄🪄

We’re sorry to announce that the release date for Magic Inn will be delayed once again.

Since launching Magic Inn: Prologue and our demo back in February, we've noticed that many players have struggled with aspects of the gameplay, and several bugs have significantly impacted the experience. It's become clear to us that the game needs more time and care to truly fulfill its potential.

Alongside developing exciting new features for Early Access, we've been addressing these issues. However, it causes delays in our planned schedule. This wasn't an easy decision, but we believe it’s necessary for the best possible experience.

Here’s what we’ve been focusing on:

 • Enhanced Tutorial: We've completely redesigned the tutorial, incorporating clearer instructions, multi-step tasks, and smoother storytelling to provide seamless onboarding.

 • Improved User Interface: We've simplified and standardized our UI menus, ensuring a consistent and user-friendly experience throughout the game.

 • More Magic: We’re significantly expanding our spell collection—though we don’t want to spoil too much!

 • Expanded Decorations: We've introduced many adorable new decorations, including fresh wallpaper and flooring options. Our build mode has also been enhanced to allow even greater customization flexibility.

 • Bug Squashing: Naturally, we're tackling all known bugs and any new ones that arise.

Our tentative release window is now set for Q2 2025. However, we want to be fully confident in the game's quality before confirming a final date. We plan to update our demo once we've thoroughly playtested these changes and feel satisfied with the improvements.

Here is a teaser screenshot of our lighting improvements. Hope you all think it looks much better!

We truly appreciate your patience and continued support.

With love 💖,

Magic Inn Dev Team

Release Date is delayed

Hi everyone! 🌟

We’re sorry to announce that we’ve decided to postpone the release date of Magic Inn to April 2025.

As this is our first game, we’ve been a bit too ambitious and lacked experience in setting realistic development goals. Even though we’ve been working tirelessly, we have to remind ourselves that we’re a small team of just four people, with only one programmer.

Magic Inn is like our baby. We’ve poured all our love and passion into raising it more than three years from nothing to where it is now. That’s why we don’t want to compromise at the finish line of this long marathon.

We need about three more months to complete one final feature and dedicate a significant amount of time to playtesting. While we can’t promise that every aspect of the gameplay will be perfect for everyone, we’re committed to ensuring a bug-free experience so your time with Magic Inn is as enjoyable as possible.

Thank you so much for your patience, understanding, and continued support. 💗

With love,
Magic Inn dev team 🪄🪄

Bug Fixes Patch Notes 0.695

Hi, everyone

We are working toward fixing all of the bugs we have found hoping you can have the best experience possible.
Improvements
1. In build mode, players can now place multiple decorations consecutively.
 2. Players can place gifts on reserved tables. If the NPC likes the gift, they will either gain relationship points or receive a mood boost at the very least.
Bug Fixes
• Fixed a memory leak that occurred during scene transitions.
 • Fixed an issue where build mode could not be used after returning from the market.
 • Addressed an issue where opening the inventory and selecting gifts after shopping sometimes stopped working.
 • Fixed a bug where the "Give Gift" option could not be closed when using a controller.
 • The summary screen now correctly displays stars after the first time.
 • Fixed an issue where a flying plate from the player's hand didn’t trigger the magic upgrade.

We’re Part of Next Fest Oct 2024

Hello, hello 🎇 Magical Innkeepers,

The Steam Next Fest is just around the corner, and after three years, we’re so beyond excited to finally bring the demo to you and we also make it playable on Steam Deck, in case you would like to lay down on your sofa to play the game. For all the improvements and new features, you can head over to our last big post to dive into the details.

We’ve already playtested the demo with a few players, and we’ve squashed the bugs they reported. We hope your playthrough is smooth, but if you come across any rare bugs we missed, please please report them so we can make the game even better. You’re always welcome to share your feedback or bug reports in our Discord server. 💗

There is a live streaming at the top of the page. I know, I know - watching the whole thing might be a bit much, so I’ve prepared a brief introduction of the demo for you. (It’s my first solo stream, so please bear with me if I seem a little anxious 😅)
