Patch 0.757 Performance Optimization and bug fixes

[p]Hi everyone,[/p][p][/p][p]Patch 0.757 is an important update for Steam Deck players, focusing on performance optimization in Magic Inn. These improvements should effectively resolve:[/p]
  1. [p]Crashes when visiting the Central Market.[/p]
  2. [p]Crashes when visiting the Crop Market during busy times.[/p]
  3. [p]Crashes when too many customers appear at once.[/p]
[p]Tests show:[/p]
  • [p]~15% reduction in CPU and GPU usage.[/p]
  • [p]Nearly 40% reduction in memory usage when many characters are present in the scene.[/p]
[p]Additional Bug Fixes:[/p]
  • [p]Fixed an issue where characters didn’t sit properly on chairs and appeared to float near tables if the player entered Build Mode before opening the inn.[/p]
  • [p]Fixed an exploit in Build Mode where furniture could be infinitely duplicated by spawning it for placement and then pressing Collect to cancel.[/p]
  • [p]Fixed the starting camera angle when entering a new scene, such as the market or the inn.[/p]
  • [p]Camera Improvement: When switching to Orb Mode, the camera now cuts cleanly instead of using a slow transition that could feel dizzying.[/p]
[p]A huge thank-you to all the players who reported these bugs and for your patience with our buggy little game—I truly appreciate it![/p]

Patch 0.756: Major Staff AI Fixes and Applying for a loan

[p]Hi everyone,[/p][p]Sorry it took a few days to prepare Patch 0.756. This update includes major fixes for staff AI and introduces a new feature that lets you apply for a loan from the Central Market at any time.[/p][p][/p][p]Staff AI Fixes
Previously, chefs often prepared customer orders in the wrong priority, which could prevent you from serving customers and risk losing regulars. They would even waste time making orders that had already been cancelled when customers left, and in some cases a bug caused chefs to remake duplicate orders.[/p][p]With this patch, chefs will now:[/p]
  • [p]Prioritize orders based on customer patience.[/p]
  • [p]Avoid preparing cancelled orders.[/p]
  • [p]No longer create duplicate orders.[/p]
[p]Your chefs should now behave more predictably and work efficiently to serve every customer.[/p][p][/p][p]Server and Plate Fix
Previously, if your server picked up a plate while you were using magic to fly it, a race condition could occur—causing the server to carry “air” instead of the plate. This “air” would then occupy space on the table, causing the server to get stuck and making it impossible to serve that customer.[/p][p]With this patch, the game now handles both scenarios correctly—whether you fly the plate first or the server picks it up first. Servers should no longer get stuck.[/p][p][/p][p]New Feature
You can now apply for a loan at the Loan Stall in the Central Market at any time. For players struggling with money, this should be a helpful option once you’ve unlocked access to the Central Market.[/p][p][/p][p]Additional Fixes and Improvements[/p]
  • [p]Critical Bug Fix: Interacting with the advertisement in the phone booth and clicking multiple times before the UI transition is complete no longer freezes the game.[/p]
  • [p]Bug Fix: Events are now scheduled even if treated as expired. This fixes issues—especially for players transferring demo save files—where important events expired and blocked story progression.[/p]
  • [p]Bug Fix: A cutting board placed on top of a counter should prevent other items from being placed on that counter.[/p]
  • [p]Improvement: Cooks searching for a counter will now look for the closest empty one available.[/p]
[p]I apologize for these issues and truly appreciate all of your support! Next, I’ll be focusing on the major performance issues on Steam Deck that are causing crashes in the later stages of the game.[/p]

Patch 0.755 Conversation Card Game Improvement + Controller Fixes

[p]Hi everyone,[/p][p]Patch 0.755 focuses on improving the conversation card game, especially the Negotiation game.[/p][p]I know I previously mentioned working on staff AI, but we’ve received a lot of feedback from players that the Negotiation card game felt unfairly difficult, and that the emotion system didn’t seem to matter. Because of this, I’ve shifted priorities to address these issues first.[/p][p]This patch also includes two critical bug fixes for controller users, as well as adjustments to decoration attributes and prices. Now, higher-attribute items will demand higher prices, and more difficult-to-craft items will reward greater attributes—making it feel more balanced.[/p][p]Details of this patch:[/p]
  • [p]Gameplay: Adjusted the difficulty of the Negotiation Card Game:[/p]
    • [p]Give an extra Negotiate card to the player.[/p]
    • [p]Reduced the confidence required to play the Negotiate card.[/p]
    • [p]Reduced the discount amount rival characters can impose.[/p]
  • [p]Gameplay: Reworked how emotions affect the conversation card game. Emotions now have a more meaningful impact, especially in Attraction topic.[/p]
  • [p]Gameplay: Improved the mechanics of the Convince card. Its effects can now stack, and it will only be consumed when its effects are applied.[/p]
  • [p]Controller Critical Fix: When selecting a destination to travel to, choosing “No” no longer causes the menu to freeze and force the player to quit.[/p]
  • [p]Controller Critical Fix: During the conversation card game, using the Silence card and quickly pressing the select button no longer causes a crash that locked player movement.[/p]
  • [p]Bug Fix: Fixed a configuration issue with the walls of the main market shop that caused icons to be hidden.[/p]
  • [p]Bug Fix: In Laurel’s Inn, the player’s bedroom window no longer allows visibility into a guest bedroom.[/p]
  • [p]Balance: Adjusted decoration attributes and prices across all items.[/p]

Patch 0.754 More Bug Fixes

[p]Hi everyone,[/p][p][/p][p]I’ve been traveling the past few days and wasn’t able to work on the game, but now I’m back and will be pushing more patches in the near future.[/p][p][/p][p]Patch 0.754 is primarily a bug-fix update, aimed at making the game more stable and smooth:[/p][p][/p]
  • [p]Critical Bug Fix: Fixed an issue where, for unknown reasons, guests staying in the inn did not have matching records, causing a game-breaking bug with an empty guest list and no new guests arriving.[/p]
  • [p]Bug Fix: Wallpaper “Chocolate” tile was not accessible.[/p]
  • [p]Bug Fix: Fixed an issue where wallpaper changes sometimes wouldn’t save after placement.[/p]
  • [p]Bug Fix: During the Build a Mortar task, players received a Magic Spirit item. This item is now marked as a quest item and cannot be sold; otherwise, players could get stuck.[/p]
  • [p]Bug Fix: Fixed an issue where players could walk into market stalls.[/p]
  • [p]Bug Fix: Fixed the tutorials for Contract and Fire Travel.[/p]
  • [p]Bug Fix: At the start of Act 2, talking to Luka now correctly clears his notification.[/p]
  • [p]Bug Fix: Fixed camera angles during group dialogues.[/p]
  • [p]Controller Fix: After learning a new recipe, players can now use the controller to select a recipe to discard.[/p]
  • [p]Improvement: The top part of the bar is now transparent when it obstructs the line of sight.[/p]
[p][/p][p]We truly appreciate all the support from the community! We’ll also begin brainstorming new content for Act 2 soon. If you’d like to participate, you’re more than welcome to join our Discord and chat with us directly![/p]

Patch 0.753 Can't use Recipe Fix

[p]Hi everyone,[/p][p][/p][p]Unfortunately, my last patch introduced a critical bug that prevented players from learning recipes.[/p][p][/p][p]Patch 0.753 fixes this issue.[/p][p][/p][p]I’m very sorry for the mistake, and I promise to do better next time by doing more testing, especially on new features before release.[/p][p][/p][p]Sorry again for the inconvenience, and thank you for your patience![/p]
