Talisman: Digital Classic Edition News

[p]Hi Talisman fans! ːBlueTalismanː ːTalProToadː[/p][p]It's been a hot minute since we rolled out an announcement for Talisman: Digital Classic Edition, but today we launched a fresh patch for the game focused on resolving one issue - the crash caused by playing the game with the Steam Overlay enabled.[/p][p]You should be able to download it via Steam now - if anyone is still having issues with crashes after downloading the patch, please leave a comment on this announcement or send an email with your PC specs to [email protected][/p][p][/p][h3]An Update on the Talisman Steam Page[/h3][p]While we're talking about this patch, we wanted to touch on something that we'll be expanding upon fully in the future. Some of you will have noticed that back in February, the Talisman: Digital Classic Edition base game was removed from the search directory in Steam. Since earlier this month, the game is now relisted in Steam search, as part of the Talisman: Digital Classic Complete Collection.[/p][p]These changes were made based on the feedback and popular demand that we heard from you all after the initial change. As for why these changes happened in the first place, Talisman is a licensed product, so there are certain things that are out of our control when it comes to what's allowed to be listed on different storefronts, requirements for how we present our titles and how that impacts our ongoing licenses with the physical board game publishers we work with.[/p][p]Thanks to your feedback and some work on our end, we're pleased to be bringing back the previously removed from Steam search Talisman: Digital Classic Edition store page, even if it's in a slightly different way than before. Going forward, we're going to be pushing for and doing what we can to come up with solutions that give you all the best outcome while fulfilling our requirements to our license owners.[/p][p]Thank you as always for your understanding and support! ːheartː[/p]

This is the second remastered 4th Edition expansion we’ve brought over to Talisman: Digital 5th Edition from Talisman: Digital Classic Edition, and each and every part of the expansion has been given the full 5th Edition remastering treatment, with rebalanced cards, new 3D character minis and updated, beautiful artwork. We know a lot of you fell in love with Talisman in 4th Edition, so we're proud to be trusted to treat these iconic expansions with the time and love needed to be part of the 5th Edition experience.

Just like with all the other expansions from Talisman: Digital Classic Edition, if you’ve previously purchased The Frostmarch Expansion in Talisman: Digital Classic Edition, this remastered expansion can be added to a copy of Talisman: Digital 5th Edition completely free - you just need to sign into your Nomad Account on both games! If you’ve previously purchased The Reaper Expansion in Talisman: Digital Classic Edition, you just need to sign into your Nomad Account on both games, and you'll automatically be given access to the remastered version, without needing to buy the expansion twice. If you’ve got any questions about how to do this, you can check out our full blog explaining the Expansion carryover process.

Please note, you'll still need to buy Talisman: Digital 5th Edition in order to sync across your original Reaper purchase - but once you do, there are no additional charges or costs. This will be the case for all future remastered Classic expansions as well.

This is because we've just launched Talisman: Digital 5th Edition on Steam, and wanted to make sure the two versions were distinct from each other in your library!

Even with a name change, don't worry - your copy of Talisman: Digital Classic Edition is staying the same game you've grown to love over the last 10 years, and we're still going to support the game with patches and bug fixes in the future. Part of moving the Talisman: Digital Classic Edition base game to free-to-play was specifically so that going forward, we can now support both versions of Talisman that we're offering here on Steam - no matter which version you want to play! ːheartː
