Momento is headed to Next Fest!

[p]Hello all! Hope you all are having a wonderful start to the year. We've been heads down working on updating our demo, because...[/p][h2]Momento will be part of Steam Next Fest next week![/h2][p]The demo is playable right now (hooray!) and we're very excited to introduce even more people to the game. [/p][p][/p][p]If you want to help us spread the word, there are a few ways to do so: [/p]
  • [p]Wishlist the game if you haven't already! This is the number one most important thing to help an upcoming game[/p]
  • [p]Tell your friends! We can't all stream, so it's not a worry, but please let your friends know about Momento. Word of mouth is one the top ways people learn about games so we're always grateful.[/p]
  • [p]Stream the demo or make videos about it. We can only reach so many people, but streams and videos are a great way to get the word out there to audiences we haven't met yet![/p]
  • [p]Follow us on social media and repost our posts. [/p]
  • [p]Play the demo! There are so many great games in Next Fest, and Steam will track which ones are played the most. Our demo is short and sweet (30 min - 1 hour—well, depending on how long you spend in creative mode!) but all plays will help boost us in Steam's eyes. [/p]
[p]Here are a few of the new features we've included (we'll do a full rundown next week!) and we've now localised the demo into 10 languages, so players all around the world can join in. [/p][p][/p][h3]Puzzle hint system 🧩[/h3][p]There are quite a few puzzles in each room—so don't get stuck on figuring out which ones are left to find! [/p][p][/p][h3]A new Creative Mode tutorial! 🖼️[/h3][p]There are so many options in Creative Mode that we wanted to make it clear and easy for you to dive in.[/p][p][/p][h3]Zoom out! 🔭[/h3][p]We've had lots of requests to be able to see the full room, so now you can![/p][p][/p][p]And of course, through all this, we've still been working on the full game itself! We've been working on building out all the rooms, figuring out puzzle logic, improving flow, building tools to make it all look good, and of course, squashing as many bugs as we possibly can. [/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]The game (and Creative Mode) has a lot of windows—who doesn't love a window? And we've been making sure they look the best that can be, including adjusting how the light comes through the windows. This means there are all sorts of puzzles to solve, like how moving a window up shifts where the light hits on the floor, and how light lands on a piece of furniture, like a couch or a bed, instead. But we're very happy with how they're looking so far.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]And of course, all the other little aspects that make it a pleasant game to look at: steam coming up from mugs, lava lamps that actually work, easter eggs, finalizing all the book covers (there are a lot of books!), adding glyphs for controller support, and quite a few things we can't talk about yet! [/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]We really are nearing the finish line, and so excited that as a result.... [/p]
