Developer Diary #25

Brave ones!

We are excited to present a new edition of the "Developer Diary"!

For all those eager to learn about the changes and innovations awaiting the world of Singor in the near future, we are ready to lift the veil of mystery. In this edition, we will discuss the focus weapons for each of the new heroes.
Scythe - Lord of the Dead
When the world was young, and the concepts of life and death had not yet taken clear boundaries, the ancient gods of Darkness forged a scythe from shards of fading stars and bones of primordial beings. The artifact, named "Lord of the Dead," became an embodiment of primal balance - for every second life granted, it demanded immediate payment.

Kalizk acquired this scythe in the Temple of Eternal Silence, where it had rested for centuries on an altar made of skulls. As his fingers closed around the handle covered in ancient inscriptions, a whisper echoed in the silence: "At last - a worthy Accountant...". From that day on, a strange connection was established between them: the scythe did not merely serve him - it taught him, showing the true cost of disrupting the natural order.

"Do you think this is just a weapon?" - laughs the scythe in rare moments when it allows Kalizk to hear its voice. "I am the scales on which death itself is weighed. And you are merely the pointer indicating measure."
Fan - Song of the Heavens
In the mountains where clouds are born, an ancient fan woven from golden sunlight and cloud silk lay resting. When Sylph unfolded it, the golden spokes sang — and their song awakened slumbering elementals.

This artifact became her destiny. In battles, a single wave of the fan summoned whirlwind guardians, while the ringing of golden spokes called upon ancient storm spirits for aid. But with power came a price: after each battle, Sylph had to sing new songs to the wind — otherwise, patterns on the pristine silk began to fade, along with them disappeared trust from elementals.

“We dance to the music of your heart,” — whisper the winds as they swirl around golden spokes. And as long as this song plays, Song of the Heavens will guard the valleys of Singor.
Tablets - Tablets of Summoning
In sacred quarries where wind has polished rocks for centuries, earth priests found three gray tablets made from an unknown mineral. Smooth as polished river pebbles, they were covered with pulsating pink runes — a living language of Earth itself. Now these tablets are carried by Terra, mistress of stone depths, secured with a simple leather strap around her thigh. When she removes them and runs her fingers over the runes, a miracle occurs: Earth Elementals respond to her call.

"They are not tools," - says Terra as she watches pink light dance on her palms. "They are a contract etched in stone when the world was still young."

When she uses the tablets in battle, it seems as if Earth itself sings through her - a deep, powerful rumble that makes even mountain peaks tremble. And after battle, the tablets return to being just gray stones with dull inscriptions hanging peacefully at their mistress's waist.
