Developer’s Diary #33
[p]Braves![/p][p]We are excited to present a brand-new edition of the Developer’s Diary![/p][p]For everyone eager to learn what awaits the world of Singoru in the near future — new heroes, rebalances, and exciting updates — it’s time to lift the veil of mystery![/p][p]In this issue, we’ll introduce three new heroes who will soon join the ranks of defenders, as well as updates for Barrett, Limuru, and Fu Hao![/p]

New Hero — Honey Belle
[p]Sometimes dreams of friendship come true… but not in the way you expect.[/p][p]In her past life, Belle was an actress — or rather, she wanted to be one.
A shabby theater, an audience of three bored onlookers, dusty costumes, and a director convinced that shouting could replace talent.
Belle always smiled, even when no one applauded.
"The main thing is that I am not alone," she liked to say, gazing into the mirror before stepping onto the stage.
The mirror remained silent.[/p][p]Fate decided that applause would never truly be hers — and arranged an intermission, long and final.
The last performance ended in fire, and Belle beneath the ruins of the scenery.
But Ether does not tolerate emptiness.
When the smoke cleared, the actress awoke — not in a body, but in a shell.
Flexible joints, porcelain skin, glass eyes — alive, yet not alive. A doll.[/p][p]At first, Belle was terrified.
No breath. No voice.
An abandoned basement in a ruined city.
Only a faint tapping — somewhere inside, as if a heart was trying to remember how to be real.
She tried to scream, but instead of words came a thin laugh — her new voice, bright and hollow.
Then she decided: if the world would not give her friends, she would make them herself.[/p][p]From scraps, fabric, and drops of Ether, Belle began to create little dolls.
They moved, they laughed, they obeyed her — like actors before a director.
She performed for them plays in which she was both audience and heroine, goddess and creator.
But the more dolls appeared, the less they smiled.
Their eyes — buttons at first — sometimes reflected not their mistress, but something… else.[/p][p]In time, Belle learned to infuse her “little friends” with fragments of her enemies’ souls.
The defeated turned into new dolls, and her theater’s stage grew ever larger.
Each night she performed for them — without audience, without light, yet with a perfect troupe made of true companions.[/p][p]The main thing is never to be alone.
Everything else does not matter.[/p][p]
[/p]

New Hero — Kurohana
[p]When candles go out, even shadows begin to pray.[/p][p]When the candles go out, even the shadows begin to pray.[/p][p]Once, she was merely a novice.
She rose with the first toll of the bells, washed the clothes of the abbesses, and scrubbed the stone floor until it shone so brightly that the heavens could be seen reflected upon it.
Her days flowed in quiet sameness: bell, prayer, labor, confession.
Yet within Kurohana lived a silent longing — as if someone was watching her devotion.[/p][p]And when, at midnight, amid the scent of wax and incense, a shadow behind her whispered, “You have been heard,” she did not feel fear.
She only folded her hands as she had been taught and said, “Thy will be done.”[/p][p]The world she was taken to was nothing like the temple.
There were no bells ringing — only the thunder of the heavens.
No abbesses — only silent stars and HIM.
And there, she became what she had always dreamed of being — the High Priestess.[/p][p]Her words summoned light, her steps left traces of overwhelming power, her prayers turned into spells.
People prayed to Kurohana, not the other way around.[/p][p]Centuries passed.
Time erased both vows and memory.
Kurohana no longer awaited revelations — she simply watched in silence as her followers turned to dust.
Their descendants no longer remembered the name of the God whose will she once carried.
The temples grew over with grass, the altars sank into the earth, and her own heart grew cold.[/p][p]Until one day, she saw an army of monsters destroying the very city where she had once become the High Priestess.
Something stirred within her.
In her chest — not a heart, but HIS will — flared alive once more.[/p][p]“They seek to destroy my flock,” Kurohana whispered. “They belong to me.”[/p][p]Now Kurohana walks the earth again, shrouded in the power of a forgotten God.
Her prayers sound like judgment; her light — like divine punishment.
Ether trembled.[/p][p]She purifies the world that once left her in solitude — though perhaps she no longer realizes that one fate is merely replacing another.[/p][p]
[/p]

New Hero — Brendan
[p]He stumbled upon a manga by accident — and became a hero by accident.[/p][p]Brendan’s life had long lost its flavor. Once, he stood guard at the doors of a city bank, wearing a uniform that had long faded under the sun, dreaming that one day someone would say: “You saved me.” But no one ever did.
The years passed, his dreams aged along with him, and now his mornings began not with the command “To arms!” but with the click of an opening bottle.[/p][p]Then one day, a small mix-up happened at a newspaper stand — the shopkeeper swapped the stacks, and instead of the dull chronicles of daily life, Brendan bought a hero manga.
On the cover — warriors with blades, mages, fire, and honor.
He wanted to curse, but his eyes lingered. His hands turned the pages on their own.
Each dialogue struck his heart, reminding him of the person he once dreamed of becoming.[/p][p]"If only once... just once more, to feel like a hero," he whispered, not noticing the rare tear that slid down his cheek.[/p][p]Ether heard him.[/p][p]A sharp pain pierced his heart, darkness filled his vision, and Brendan collapsed, clutching his chest.
And then — light. Hot, alive, unbearably bright.
When he opened his eyes, there was no smell of alcohol, no crack of old bones.
Only wind, a young body, and the ringing of steel.
In one hand — a sword; in the other — a bottle, as if his past were mocking him.
Ahead — a roaring monster. Behind — a girl with eyes full of fear.[/p][p]"Here it is," Brendan smirked. "A new shift begins."[/p][p]He stepped forward, raising his sword to meet the blow, and for the first time in many years, felt his heart beating not from pain, but from excitement.
Every strike was a breath, every drop of sweat — a confession of life.[/p][p]He was no longer just a guard.
He was a protector.[/p][p]And if one day someone asks him why he fights again, he will only grin and say:
"What could be better than saving a beauty... with a hangover?"[/p][p]
[/p]

Hero Rebalance

Barrett
[p]
After studying your feedback about the hero and receiving assistance from the Hero Workshop community, we identified the main issue — the hero only reacted to enemy attacks instead of imposing his own fighting style.
Therefore, the hero has been completely reworked.[/p][p]Barrett’s “Blade Whirlwind” activation method has been changed:
Item collection → Taking and dealing damage
Now, you will be able to use this ability much more often and enjoy crushing your enemies![/p][p]Epic Rarity:[/p]
After studying your feedback about the hero and receiving assistance from the Hero Workshop community, we identified the main issue — low effectiveness of water-based abilities, limited relevance of the hero at Mythic rarity only (but not at Legendary), and weak crowd control capabilities.[/p][p]Legendary Rarity:[/p]
This hero was one of the first to stand in defense of Singoru, so it is only natural that she has learned a few new tricks over time.[/p][p]Rare Rarity:[/p]
In the meantime, share your thoughts and expectations in the comments.
