Toribash 5.70 - 04/09/24 Hotfix

Hi, this update features a fix for incorrect advanced tooltip behavior encountered in the original 5.70 release and minor performance improvements:

  • Fixed bug with advanced tooltip display getting stuck when used with background click enabled
  • Reenabled FRACTURED and DISMEMBERED joint states display for advanced tooltip
  • Fixed bug with mouse camera controls sometimes staying disabled after using UI sliders (e.g. replay progress)
  • Minor performance improvements for in-game interface rendering

This major release features lots of modmaking updates, improves physics simulation accuracy and more!




[h3]What's new in Toribash 5.70:[/h3]

  • [h3]New mod features[/h3]

    • Increased total object count limit to 256
    • Increased dynamic object count limit to 48
    • Increased environment joint count limit to 24
    • Static objects with non-zero hardness will now deal damage to player on collision
    • Hardness parameter now affects dismembers / fractures
    • Body / joint customizable bounce support
    • Body / joint customizable friction support
    • Customizable fracture support for joints



  • [h3]Upgraded physics simulation[/h3]
    Beginning with 5.70, physics simulation will work slightly different compared to older game clients in all new games you play.
    Remember how executing same moves as Tori and Uke would yield different outcomes in past? That's no longer going to happen.
    The change is targeted at fixing the (historically broken) force damping in Toribash physics sim which will improve physics simulation accuracy.


  • [h3]Replay keyframing updates[/h3]

    • Keyframe display in replay timeline
    • Edit existing keyframes by right-clicking them on timeline
    • Replay speed support for keyframes
    • Toggleable smoothing support for keyframes



  • Other changes

    • Ignoring a player will now also hide their emotes and shouts
    • Fixed bug with hand / leg motion trail display when the wrist / ankle is dismembered
    • Fixed bug with trigger score changes not affecting fight outcome
    • Fixed crash when re-entering modmaker after exiting it while in replay mode
    • Fixed camera smoothness on keyframed replays while at custom replay speed
    • Fixed bug with replays saved in multiplayer getting players' names mixed up
    • Various internal memory management optimizations

You can purchase a Premium version of Battle Pass to receive even better rewards, including a limited edition color.
Press the "Upgrade to Premium" button on the Battle Pass screen and you will be able to claim exclusive items, 3X more Toricredits and 2X more Shiai Tokens!

Premium can be purchased at any moment while Battle Pass is active: you will receive rewards for levels that you've already claimed free tier rewards for automatically.

Toribash 5.68 - 31/05/24 Update

Hi, this update introduces relative thrust for bodyparts in mods and several bug fixes:

  • Added relative thrust checkbox in Bodyparts tab in Modmaker menu
  • Fixed bug with relative thrust checkbox for environment objects being non-responsive in Modmaker menu
  • Fixed bug with claiming some quests
  • Fixed bug with username used for server login always being lowercase

This update brings several new features, bug fixes and tweaks to improve your Toribash experience.


[h3]Here's what's new in version 5.68:[/h3]
  • Added relative thrust setting for env objects in mods
  • Emotes are now displayed with HUD disabled (use /opt emote 0 to disable emotes explicitly)
  • Added ability to clear cache files to reduce storage usage (Settings -> Game)
  • Added option to disable mouse scroll wheel joint controls
  • Active GUI textures and sound items are now reflected in item.dat to make sure they don't keep being used after being deactivated in inventory
  • Added parent set display for item selector in Market
  • Added button to claim rewards for all completed quests in Quests menu
  • Updated search in Replays and Inventory menus to match other menus' design
  • Updated quest progress popups to appear less frequently

  • Fixed bug with incorrect sorting for top mods list in Ranking menu
  • Fixed bug with setting suggested price in Market not properly updating price inputs
  • Fixed bug with TC prices not being displayed in Store if item is also sold for ST
  • Fixed various bugs with fetching current user info / inventories on case-sensitive systems (Linux & Apple Silicon based macs)
  • Fixed bug with mod env object force setting being ignored
