Messages from Hell, or How Are We Doing?

How’s your spring going? Are you ready to step outside into the warm sun and soak those beautiful flowers and green grass in blood? (Asking for a friend.)

We at Polished Games are doing great—we’re hard at work on the Hell Update, and we’ve got some stuff to share with you. First and foremost, we want to once again confirm that the upcoming colossal update to Be My Horde will be landing at the end of May. We even have the exact date locked in, but… we’ll tease you a bit longer. You know how much Moriana loves to tease. 😈 We’ll reveal the date soon enough.

[h2]STILL DEEP IN HELL, BUT SMILING[/h2]

After wrapping up the Spring Cleaning Update and the Steam Deck verification, we’re finally zeroing in on the Hell Update full-time. The entire new level is already built, complete with its unique perks and hazards—think bubbling lava ponds and erupting volcanoes. (More details on those fiery bad boys coming soon.)

Right now, we’re developing new units. Next up is the progression system and a batch of new in-game achievements. And finally… the boss fight. In the meantime, we’re writing fresh dialogue for Moriana and her new nemesis, with voice actors ready to bring them to life later this month. So yeah, development is going smoothly! Some ups and downs, as always, but hey—that’s life in the peaceful world of game development.

[h2]MORE LANGUAGES? MORE MINIONS[/h2]

Will there be any smaller updates before the big one? Actually, yes! Don’t expect new content or major changes—that’s all being saved for the Hell Update—but we will be introducing a new language to Be My Horde in the next two weeks. We’re keeping the details under wraps for now, but let’s just say… a certain South American country might be pretty excited. Stay tuned!

[h2]A LONELY HERO[/h2]

By the way… did you know we only received one submission for our No Perks Challenge? Yeah, we might’ve made that one a bit too difficult. 😬 Ending Richard’s miserable life without a single perk is no small feat. According to our data, only seven players have pulled it off. So, hats off to those true necromancer legends!

Huge congratulations to Cajun, who won a swag-filled Be My Horde merch pack! As for the rest of you—keep at it. We know some of you have logged dozens of hours in-game, so maybe it’s just a matter of time. But be warned: the next challenge will be even more hellish.
