Welcome back, Spacers!

Join us as we take a peek behind the curtain of VoidBound development and uncover the highlights of this week's progress.

Starting off, with a variety of artistic updates:

  • A new cut-in has been designed exhibiting Caly's struggles as she inhales a mysterious gas from a trap. What will become of her? Better hold that breath..- or maybe not?! 😮‍💨

  • Prepare to feel elastic tension escalate with another cut-in render, this time with a pervy robot restraining and having its way with Caly's both frontal and back-end assets. Truly, a bot of culture 🤖

  • As the heat of the battle intensifies, so will the scratches and tears of Caly's armor. Revamped combat standing art, showcasing a new take on Caly's battle-worn attire is now live!

  • Speaking of armor, we're developing a series of new renders, showcasing different states of armor damage. From pristine to battle-worn, these additional renders provide a new immersive degradation of Caly's suit throughout the battle.

  • Refinement of Caly's overall character design continues, focusing on every curve and contour to ensure authenticity and believability. Who says you can't look even more sexier while kicking ass? Certainly not us!

Exciting developments unfold as our team completes the writing for Section 2 of the Tripteen Dungeon. Currently, the narrative is undergoing thorough review to ensure coherence, pacing, and alignment with the overarching vision of the planetary scenario.

Climax finally approaches as writers prepare the stage for Caly's ultimate confrontation with the formidable Boss lurking within the depths of the dungeon. Though details are still being hashed behind the drop scene- we are assured that players are in for an epic showdown.

Finally, some exciting update from our Coder Division- The Resolve System! Building upon the foundation of the Struggle System, this innovative feature empowers players with greater agency and control.

Say goodbye to the roll of dice and hello to an interesting mini-game that puts your reflexes to the test. Players will engage in a gauge-filling duel against their adversaries, timing their actions to perfection. Win and your will will help you break out of the toughest of situations guaranteed.

Loose however..- well, we're sure you know what awaits 🪢

And to tie it off, we're hard at work refining and testing additional mechanics for the combat system. From new abilities and tactics to improved AI behavior, these enhancements promise to elevate the strategic depth and replay value of battles.

Progress Report #106: March 2024

Hello everyone 💜

Welcome to the second progress report of March!

This week we are showcasing some in-game footage of how the first section of the new Tripteen dungeon plays out with the lighting systems.

Let’s get into the deets below ⬇️

First up, we have the Art Segment:

  • A new combat outcome is now in concepting phase, with the focus on highlighting robotics.
  • Caly is always in need of new clothes - they are (for some reason) not very durable 😉. We have finished all of the clothing variations for the combat status pictures.
  • We added a new combat status pose for the new enemies of Tripteen.
  • We have finished all the new combat cut ins for the normal Tripteen enemies! The boss is next in the pipeline 😮


Next we have the Story:

  • Currently writing all the little details for inside the dungeon, from points of interest containing some lore tidbits to interactable objects. 🖱️
  • Two Sections are essentially done but we're going through and testing them, making sure everything runs smoothly together.
  • Two more sections to polish up after that.



Lastly the Coding:

  • We have successfully implemented the new movement points 🚶‍♀️ and speed settings, which we are currently testing and balancing for the next update.
  • We are overhauling the naughty aspect of our combat system for this update, making sure it is more interactable and impactful than before without compromising the speed of combat.

Hey everyone,

Welcome to the first progress report of March!

As always, let's start with a peek into the artist's world 👀

Inspiring new progress has been made with Caly's combat style! The new poses are shaping up nicely, and a significant portion of her 'nude' versions are ready to be implemented into the game as well!

New combat status effect pictures (clothing condition, restrained poses) are currently in the lineart stage as well.

Every hero faces defeat occasionally, right? Well, we're embracing that truth with the development of a new Caly Defeat Scene.

And hey, who knows, maybe some players lose on purpose – no judgment here! 😄

This week we developed new interactions that'd transpire within the ominous Dungeon of Tripteen. We have added new puzzles to solve and traps to avoid, as well as a new narrative that focuses on the history of the area.

Additionally, our writers are reworking the early dialogues between Caly and crew to be more in sync with the new intro. 🖥️

Finally, a new mechanic is in testing: Movement Points during combat! Currently moving around costs AP (Action Points), with this new system, it will now cost its own resource called MP (Movement Points). This will allow player to have much more freedom to both attack and move around much more freely.

We hope that this will help players develop their own unique playstyles!

And before we sign off, we're thrilled to announce the development of new speed settings for combat! With this feature, players will have the freedom to adjust the speed of combat according to their preferences.
