🎮 VoidBound 0.6.9 Release - Strike The Green Menace 🧌

It’s finally here! Update 0.6.9 is officially live today![/p][p]This update pushes deeper into the main story, beginning with Caly hosting a wholesome dinner party that somehow spirals into a run-in with the space-faring pirates? [/p][p]How did that even happen?[/p][p]You’ll find out while exploring a new destination filled with inhospitable denizens who’d love nothing more than to imprison Caly and turn her into their prized… cow 🐮

VoidBound 0.6.9 STEAM Release
This update continues off the main quest-line picking up right after Caly wakes up from her nightmarish coma. If you haven't reached that point in the game yet, please continue playing on as normal.[/p][p]For Players Continuing with Old Saves:[/p][p]If you've already finished the Xaide quest-line, head inside the Space Port building once and you should get a popup confirming the activation of the 0.6.9 update. Simply, make your way to the Bounty Guild from there on to follow the new quest-line.

Content Highlights:
⦁ The Search Begins
[/p][p][/p][p]Caly hasn't been at peace ever since her traumatic return from Xaide. Even after recovering, she is still haunted by the specter of the Urtu Captain, and it seems to be taking a toll on her mentally.[/p][p]Haar fears that her quest for vengeance will consume her. So, he suggests a pleasant evening among friends.
[/p][p]⦁ Unexpected Guest
What was meant to be a quiet night among friends is abruptly shattered by an unknown force, pushing Caly’s nerves to the breaking point. It’s clear the Urtu have no intention of leaving her alone. So, she decides to take the fight to them.

[/p][p]But the key to turning the tables on the Empire has fallen into pirate hands, and Caly must risk her own future in order to stay one step ahead in this deadly game of cat and mouse.

⦁ Caching System
Many amongst you might remember us mentioning the Caching System in our recent Progress Reports. It has been a core focus of our efforts for sometime now. While the system has been in the game, in this update it has been completely overhauled and is now far smarter than before.[/p][p]Assets such as images are loaded quietly in the background as you play, rather than all at once. As a result, load times should be noticeably shorter across the board- especially on lower-end systems and toasters alike.[/p][p]------------------------

[/p][p]🔹 In-Game Fixes: 🛠️[/p][p]⦁ Fixed an early game issue for players starting a new game whereby Haar becomes unresponsive after clearing the Tripteen dungeon, essentially soft-locking the game.[/p][p]⦁ Fixed an issue in Brewery bottle minigame whereby the game would softlock if players directed the bottle on the upper line and pushed it outside of the bounds.[/p][p]⦁ Fixed a sequence where a sparkle meant for Egg Laying quest would show up prematurely during any other player visit to Xaide dungeon.[/p][p]⦁ Fixed Slime Quest freezing when encountering both the first slime and the Exhibition NPC while naked. This NPC causing the freeze will now vanish until Kenna leaves the spot.[/p][p]⦁ Fixed a route plugin issue that was breaking some movement routes across the game.[/p][p]⦁ Fixed one of the Orcs in Armory who would freeze instead of pursuing Caly on detection.[/p][p]⦁ Fixed nametag "undefined" issue during the conversation with Haar in Bounty Guild.[/p][p]⦁ Fixed balloon icon and NPC direction triggering in the wrong character during the Intro Lab sequence.[/p][p]⦁ Fixed some instances that were calling old Bad End Events and outdated texts.[/p][p]⦁ Fixed various collision issues.[/p][p]⦁ Fixed having the wrong Xaide Bad Endings play during story.[/p][p]⦁ Fixed wrongly rotated robot combat cut in.[/p][p]⦁ Trimmed down the text for the first tank scene a bit[/p][p]⦁ Fixed various Typos.[/p][p]🔹 Ongoing Tasks: ⌨️[/p][p]⦁ Killing goblins patrolling the Armory in open combat still needs a bit of work.[/p][p]⦁ Some combat re-balancing might still be needed and enemies behave unpredictably if they end up spamming restraining skills consecutively.[/p][p]⦁ Lovense commands for the new content is scheduled to be added in a future update.[/p][p]⦁ An old demo message erroneously still shows up after a certain Bad Ending is triggered.[/p][p]⦁ Quest-Logs aren't tracking some quests properly.[/p][p]⦁ New gamplay tweaks and additions for both the Engine and Bridge Map of the Orc Dungeon.[/p][p]------------------------

STEAM update will follow a week later. Below is a quick overview of what we’ve been wrapping up over the last few days:[/p][p]---🎨----[/p][p]New sprites were created for key Orc Dungeon elements, including enemy characters, the Milking Bed, the Pillory and interactive doors. Separately, character sprites for Ovden, Her Indulgence, and Jens have also been added to be featured during the Dinner Scene.[/p][p]Speaking of Pillory, special “juicy” scene renders were also added to the Milking Pillory encounter, adding extra flair to one of the dungeon’s more key memorable moments.[/p][p]New Bad Ending artwork was also finalized for the Orc Boss encounter at the end of the dungeon, reinforcing the consequences of defeat with bespoke visuals.[/p][p]Lastly, Caly in the Wheelbarrow scenario, has exited the sketch and lineart stage and we await the final version soon.[/p][p]----✍️----[/p][p]An additional story segment has been added to the Orc Dungeon introduction, giving players more lore context and a stronger narrative lead-in before they dive into the action.[/p][p]Team discussions were also held to lock down in advance the concepts and narrative roles of each map in the next dungeon.[/p][p]----🖥️----[/p][p]All dungeon maps have been finalized, with the entire Orc Dungeon script now fully implemented and connected from start to finish. [/p][p]Combat balancing is ongoing across the various enemy types Caly will face while exploring the Orc Vessel, with adjustments being made to keep fights challenging but fair.[/p][p]Continued playtesting is underway, alongside active bug-fixing.[/p][p]-----------[/p][p]And that brings us to the end of this progress report. The Orc Dungeon is fully assembled, and we’re now deep into final stretch as we prepare for release tomorrow.
