🎮 VoidBound 0.7 Release - Tying up the Ends🪢

[p][/p][p]Hi everyone,[/p][p]The latest VoidBound build has been officially rolled out to Steam![/p][p]This update overhauls the final three maps of the Orc Dungeon, adding gameplay mechanics, lore tuning and CG scenarios that were only in the form of place holder text format in the 0.6.9 release. With this one, the Orc arc officially comes to a close![/p][hr][/hr][p]For Players Continuing with Old Saves:
To experience the newly added content, you'd need to pick up the save from after you defeated the Orc Officer Yagnar. The new additions kick in after rescuing Ellie in Milking Chamber > Armory > Engine Room\[Optional] and then culminate in the Bridge room.
[/p][p]Let’s take a look at some of the new things in this one![/p][hr][/hr][p]Gameplay Highlights:[/p][p]·     What in the blazes happened here?[/p][p][/p][p]Based on how things go down in both Armory and Milking Room, players will experience different outcomes to those particular sections of the quest. Let's just say, some will have far more- uh... violent ends than others.[/p][hr][/hr][p]·     Was the sabotage worth it?[/p][p][/p][p]Players have free agency on how they want to deal with the final leg of the quest-line![/p][hr][/hr][hr][/hr][p]Scenario Highlights:[/p][p]·     Did someone call for plumbing?[/p][p] Caly sure has her hands full saving the damsel in distress. When she finally find her mystery girl, players can choose to save her right away or savour in the moment...[/p][hr][/hr][p]·     All aboard?[/p][p]Jens wasn't kidding when he remarked about Longclaw not being suitable for transport. But, our Caly is nothing if not resourceful. And Ellie isn't exactly shy either. So guess, it all works out? ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)[/p][hr][/hr][hr][/hr][h3]To go along with the update, VoidBound will be on a Steam Sale till 12th of April, at a cool 25% discount![/h3][p][/p][p][dynamiclink][/dynamiclink][/p][hr][/hr][hr][/hr][p]-Change Log:-[/p][p]🔹 New Content: 💡[/p][p]·     Added 2 new H scenes with Ellie[/p][p]·     Added 2 new Ecchi moments with Ellie[/p][p]·     Added 38 new CGs[/p][p]·     Added 12 new sprites[/p][p]·     Added 1 new audio track[/p][p]·     Added 6 new maps[/p][p]·     Added new Gallery Maps[/p]
  • [p]Scenarios are sorted after locations now, requiring players to have finished story specific areas to unlock all the scenes in the respected dungeon (this might change depending on player feedback)[/p]
  • [p]You can now teleport to the Gallery now by hitting Escape > Menu and then following the Journal Expansion of the orc dungeon[/p]
[hr][/hr][p]🔹 In-Game Fixes: 🛠️[/p][p]·     New enemy placements and routes re-imagined for existing events[/p][p]·     Arming the prisoner sequence tweaked[/p]
  • [p]Orc patrol will reach Caly much quicker now[/p]
  • [p]Fixed a particular blood pool pattern after that event finishes in Caly's defeat. Originally, it’d swipe with another blood spot[/p]
[p]·     Ellie’s rescue event overhauled[/p]
  • [p]The older placeholder scenario, where one of Ellie's hands is free and is trying to unlock the console, is now gone and replaced with a proper CG sequence[/p]
  • [p]Ellie will now jump out of the machine immediately after the CG sequence ends matching the impression of the art. She and Caly will also start moving while having the next set of conversations[/p]
  • [p]Fixed Ellie sometimes blocking Caly if players hold Ctrl/Enter, essentially soft locking the event[/p]
  • [p]Straight after this scenario ends and Armory is activated, the spot at which Ellie's "rescued" sprite stands, would cause a region block. It's now fixed and passable[/p]
  • [p]Fixed milking moaning sounds continuing on even after freeing all prisoners[/p]
  • [p]Armory event tweaked further.[/p]
  • [p]In the event of Caly getting defeated, the first orc getting shot will have a blood pool underneath him.[/p]
  • [p]Same in the event of Caly winning too, though it's the ambushing orc that will get splattered[/p]
  • [p]When Ellie shoots the orcs, she will now turn to face them first, mimicking better realism[/p]
  • [p]Orc name tags now have spaces in between them e.g Orc3 is now Orc 3, Ambushing Orc and Coward Orc. \[Same name fixes were added to Milking Zone scenes too][/p]
[p]·     Fixed a bug in Yagnar's room where the trauma pack storage box would block players in if they moved to the left after looting it.[/p][p]·     Moaning sounds will now correctly trigger on and off during the milking pillory/bed scene.[/p][p]·     Gallery Specific Updates[/p]
  • [p]Added Image Preview to all scenes in the gallery[/p]
  • [p]Improved Gallery load time[/p]
  • [p]Fixed Gallery Vent and Seduction not having an exit branch[/p]
  • [p](Possibly) Fixed portal gate placement to be correct right away, rather than after dialogues[/p]
  • [p]Disabled Gallery menu point while on interactive maps[/p]
[p]·     Fixed an issue where when players returned to the Orc Dungeon it’d cause the escape sequence event to trigger again[/p][p]·     Added a dedicated exit button to the orc ship when returning back to the Orc ship after clearing it[/p][p]·     New updates to Crimson Strip dialogues.[/p]
  • [p]Three NPCs are now going to have different dialogues based on if Caly worked there before or not.[/p]
  • [p]Some dialogues have further variation based on Caly's corruption factor being higher than 10.[/p]
[p]·     Fixed a clash between active Orc and Slime quest-lines where the game would soft lock when players tried to go to bed on Setek[/p][p]·     Battle speed is now saved during combat[/p][p]·     Fixed chasing loop bug when in Exhibition Mode[/p][p]·     Fixed an issue with the Dildo Collection quest-line whereby if the player keeps talking to Xaide Shopkeep after buying the schematic for the first time, they'll be able to continue buying it over and over again[/p][p]·     Fixed(again) Haar's sprite collision becoming passable through in his apartment[/p][p]·     Fixed all the museum sprites in the Auction House going invisible when interacting with the quest NPC from the wrong direction[/p][p]·     Various wrong command, bug and grammar fixes[/p][p]·     Lots of ground work for the 0.7.1 patch that will bring massive changes to the weapon mods[/p][hr][/hr][hr][/hr][p]And that’s all for this one![/p][p]We hope you enjoy diving into the finished Orc Dungeon and experiencing the new mechanics and scenes. Some polish, some new content, and a forward momentum towards what’s to come next. Refinements, new scenes, and a glimpse at what lies ahead. Let's quickly go through them all, shall we?[/p][p]---🎨----[/p][p]Work continued on further, polishing the Orc Gallery Wing and bringing it closer in line with the main dungeon ambience through newly implemented lighting effects.[/p][p]Scene Gallery sprites have been fully constructed, making them much easier to identify and replay specific scenes at a glance.[/p][p]A brand new scene featuring Caly and Ellie has been completed as well, with multiple render variations that reflect player choices and outcomes. It has moved past lineart and flat colors, and is now entering the rendering phase.[/p][p]Work has now also begun on concept art for the next planet featuring mysterious structures and hints at the dangers waiting within.[/p][p]----✍️----[/p][p]Expanded interactions between Caly and Ellie throughout the Orc Dungeon, adding more depth to their shared moments.[/p][p]Completed Caly x Ellie's fingering & rescue scene. Let's dive in:[/p][p]---🎨----[/p][p]New and animated scenario sprites have been added to the Gallery Maps, each designed to be visually distinct so players can easily tell what scene each represents.[/p][p]Gallery portals are now animated as well, adding a unique visual identity and atmosphere to the entrance of each void space.[/p][p]The base sketches and lineart for Ellie’s pillory scene have been completed, finalizing the composition and structure of the piece. Rendering phase is now underway.[/p][p]Additionally, Henosis section of the Gallery room has been expanded upwards on the map, ensuring there is enough space to display the many events and scenes connected to the metropolitan hub.[/p][p]----✍️----[/p][p]Our writer is currently taking a vacation break. Narrative development on the planet Jae will resume once he returns.[/p][p]----🖥️----[/p][p]Coding work continues on the Gallery implementation, focusing on the systems that determine how scenes unlock and populate as players progress through the game.[/p][p]Further gameplay scripting is also underway populating additional content in the Orc Dungeon maps.[/p][p]Several plugin optimizations have also been implemented to improve overall stability and performance across the project.[/p][p]-----------[/p][p]And that brings us to the end of this report~[/p][p]Development continues across multiple areas of the game, and we’ll be back soon with more updates in the next.
