Hello, everyone!

Welcome back to another edition of our weekly progress report. This one has a quite a bit to unpack, so lets get right into it!

Continuing on the tasks from last week, new sprite work was developed for multiple NPCs, including for The Warden- formidable mini-boss of the Tripteen Underground.

Additionally, the Tripteen Normal Enemy Defeat scene has made significant strides and has reached the lineart stage.

The only things left for the Mini-Boss are the Combat standing art and Combat Cut-ins, which are now in the concept stages. For clarity, cut-ins are the in-combat images that show Caly's current state as she faces down her enemies.

And lastly, to enhance user experience, UI elements are being refined further, both in and out of combat. Expect a polished and streamlined visual layout that complements our game's immersive world!

The writing phase for the intense Iron Maiden Trap scene has been edited and completed!

Writers have now moved on to the new process of drafting the scene outline for the next chapter in Tripteen. This scene marks the final piece of the puzzle, and we're aiming to have the draft ready before the end of the month.

We're also enhancing and expanding our tutorial further. Our focus is to empower both old and new players to navigate VoidBound's intricate systems with ease. Expect detailed guidance on crafting essentials, including the creation of Suit Repair Kits and the application of Weapon Mods to Caly's arsenal.

Speaking of the tutorial, our coders have started working closely with the rest of the team developing a new guide segment for a smoother- more intuitive learning experience.

We've also added all the main coding for each separate stage of the Tripteen Dungeon bringing to life the twists and turns of the zone's challenging environment.

Additionally, coding work of our Mini-Boss encounter is now complete as well. Keep an eye out for this one as we're gearing up to integrate special cut-ins for Caly's epic battle with this formidable foe!

Enemies have also been strategically placed within the dungeon, and their patrol routes methodically set. With careful planning and observation, Caly can navigate around them to dodge them or spring a lethal ambush, which leads into the next update:

The New Looting System: Enemies now have a loot table that will drop items depending if you killed them in combat or eliminated them with a sneak attack. Engage in direct combat and be rewarded with more loot, or stealthily assassinate enemies for less rewards but time saved.

Finally, we're also in the process of deploying miscellaneous improvements to various gameplay mechanics including, but not limited to, Quest Log navigation, Movement Points, and the new struggle mechanic.

The line art depicting Caly's defeat by the Tripteen Boss has been finalized. While maintaining the core design elements of the original boss, we've infused it with a fresh and enhanced artistic scheme.

Get ready for an encounter that'd be both familiar and yet newly enriched!

Additionally, the artwork for the mysterious Mini Boss encounter is being finalized.

Curious to uncover what surprises it holds beneath its hood... 🦾

Meanwhile, our writers are in the final stages of completing the Iron Maiden Trap Scene. Lewd factor aside, it's crucial for us to ensure that this scene flows seamlessly and that the envisioned special mechanics unfold as intended, all while preserving player immersion.

At last, The Warden, the enigmatic Mini Boss of the Tripteen Dungeon, has been integrated into the game's code. Players are in for an exhilarating challenge as they confront The Warden, featuring three distinct combat stages. ⚔️ Our coders have also initiated work on the Main Boss encounter.

Finally, with the incorporation of new elements into the game's combat systems, we're in the process of revamping the combat tutorial.

Progress Report #109: April



Hello everyone!

We enter April with good vibes and the knowledge that some of the last scenes to be added for Tripteen have begun. The lineart for these new scenes is being produced and it's already making for some new delicious scenes, including the Big Boss defeat scene, if you should be so lucky or unlucky to see it.



As far as writing goes, everything is complete except the scenes. The nice thing is that juicy scenes are the bread and butter of our team, so those should be cracked out very shortly. Beyond the scenes, we did a little bit of tweaking for Mitsu's introduction and wrote out a new special scene for a Collaboration Event we're doing.

Coding is going smoothly, too, mainly a lot of fine-tuning for the new Movement Points as well as figuring out how to implement the unique abilities for both the Boss and the Mini-Boss encounters.

Salutations VoidObservers,

It's that time of the week again where we reflect on our progress and share the highlights of our ongoing efforts to bring the update to life.

Let's dive into the art:

New progress was made this week rendering cut-ins for Tripteen combat. These variety of CGs will reflect Caly's ever changing physical situation- unique to each status move that her foes will use against her.

Check out the NSFW video showcasing these on our Discord or on our previous article here!

Furthermore, in preparation for the upcoming battles, additional renders featuring new combat poses have also been crafted. After-all, Caly must always look visually stunning, both on and off the battlefield!

Lastly, the sketches for the Iron Maiden Robot scene are now complete and preparations are underway for flat color testing! Be at ease though, we have no intention of straying into gore territory as our version of the iron maiden is the more "lewdly fun" kind.

On the story side of things, our writers have dedicated themselves to refining the dialogues for Sections 0-2 of the Tripteen Dungeon.

Specifically, they've been busy working on some of the existing lines and banter between Caly, Haar and Jens to add more depth into the interaction making sure that Caly's first 'new' dungeon is just as special as it was before the remake.

Things are heating up for the resident coders as all the new systems that have been deployed recently enter the stability testing and balancing phase.

Chief among them are the Timer and Resolve System, with the latter affecting the combat flow dependent on player input, so extra attention is being paid to fine tuning the specifics around it.

Additionally, with a sizable amount of new content now added into the base game, bug hunting is now officially underway as well. Can't have new plugins goofing up the old stuff now, can we?
