Week 1 Update: We’ve Got A Brand New Map For You!

[/p][h3]Introducing: Barricade Bridge[/h3][p]Barricade Bridge is a brand-new Capture & Hold map set on a mighty steel bridge! Hovering over a cascading river, your aim is to fight your way through a confined space and gain control over the bridge.

One perfectly timed clap and you can catapult your enemies into the current, one misstep and you’re the one going for a swim. It’s a high-octane, high-stakes battle for control. And it’s loads of fun.[/p][p][/p][h3]Tweaks to the Server System[/h3][p]
We’ve noticed that a lot of you have been running into issues with our server browser, specifically when it comes to finding games in other regions. That’s why we’ve implemented a brand-new subsystem allowing for non-region locked servers and ping measurements. You’ll finally be able to play with your friends in different parts of the world and freely choose the server that best suits your needs!

Headshotting your friend on the other side of the globe sounds fun, doesn’t it? [/p][p][/p][h3]A Small Thank You[/h3][p][/p][p]We decided to drop an update so soon after release as a small thank you note to the community. It’s been one week since we’ve released into Early Access and your reaction has been overwhelming! From the frenzied discussions on Discord, to the huge amount of reviews you guys left on our store page, we want to thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

Don’t worry, we’ve already celebrated with some Belgian beers. But we also wanted you to have something to celebrate with, so we hope you’ll enjoy the new map!

Chaotic new multiplayer shooter is a WW2 version of Team Fortress 2

WWII was one of the deadliest human conflicts in history. The scale of the devastation is mind-boggling to consider. But these grave facts have not prevented generations of comedians, artists, and game developers from getting silly with it. Heroes of Valor is a more absurd take on the chaos of Battlefield: 1942. It's a class-based team shooter in the spirit of Team Fortress 2. The game recently launched into early access and currently has a "very positive" rating on Steam.

Version 0.1.3.025 - Small Hotfix

Hello heroes!

Today I have a small hotfix for you. :)

-VTOL Capture renamed to Capture & Hold
-announcer voice now works with Capture & Hold mode as intended
-increased air control so it's much easier to jump over obstacles and onto things
-health regen should now work when using abilities and firing weapons, only stops for 4 seconds each time you get hit now
-BAR accuracy increased from 0.35 -> 0.32 spread
-fixed a CC under map flying exploit (distant mountains on CC now have collisions)
-fixed being insta killed when spawning / this fix should also fix further motorcycle deaths from exiting if they were still happening
-fixed a hosting score exploit while just sitting idle
-fixed tank and motorcycle reverse directions
-added motorcycle reversing animation

Version 0.1.3.021 - Playertester shirts, Steam Cloud save enabled and more

-reduced volume of explosions by 50% (looking into finding some better sounding explosions as well)
-made projectile radius a little bigger to improve hitreg from 5 -> 7
-heavy shields are no longer applied on dead players / corpses
-tweaked Field Medic effect to be less cluttery and a bit cleaner
-fast fighter plane MG damage changed from 8 AOE to 6 direct and 4 AOE
-fast fighter and bomber plane MG projectile speed increased from 100000 to 150000
-bomber plane MG damage changed from 15 AOE to 8 direct and 8 AOE
-improved t-shirt texture
-tweaked t-shirt texture mip distance so that t-shirt designs appear sharper
-updated/improved the playtester reward shirts a bit
-playtester shirts now have a star icon
-playtest shirts should now be available to anyone that owns the Playtest app (another playtester reward is coming soon)
-gave fedoras a thickness
-gave helmets a thickness
-updated Allies and Axis ftw t-shirts
-updated banana shirt
-updated wolf shirt
-new monocle model and icon
-fixed chat message cutoff
-fixed Field Marshal pants leg strap color
-throwables should no longer push tanks and motorbikes (working on a completely new throwables system though, so this is a temp fix)
-enabled Steam Cloud save

Version 0.1.3.019 - Quickplay, bug fixes and tweaks

Hello Heroes! :D

We hope you are having a good time with the game. We've heard that some of you find it hard to navigate the server browser and find a good game. So we made a Quick Play system that should (hopefully) put you in a suitable game with some players and decent ping. It's still experimental, so it might not work too great yet. We'll keep tweaking it though.

We've also got some other bug fixes and tweaks for you in this one. :)

-stats should now be saved when going back to the main menu (kick/ban of any kind and manual leave) (losing connection does not save stats yet)

Bug fixes and improvements:
-added local character customization pre-loading to fix visible customization loading on high ping servers
-fixed votekick menu entry UI
-fixed plane machinegun sound not adhering to volume control
-fixed camera offset when spawning on high ping servers
-motorcycle death from exiting should be fixed (if not, let us know in the discord with further info and or recorded footage)

Balance tweaks:
-reduced trooper self heal from Field Medic skill from 45-65 (1-3 surrounding players) to 35-55
-increased knife attack speed from 0.65 cooldown -> 0.6
-increased scoped semi auto reload speed from 2.5 reload time -> 2.4
-slightly decreased semi auto firerate from 0.322 cooldown -> 0.325
-increased short range MG firerate from 0.085 cooldown -> 0.081
-increased mid range MG firerate from 0.105 cooldown -> 0.102
-increased far range MG firerate from 0.165 cooldown -> 0.162
