Minor update 1.0.3

We just published a minor update with the following changes:
  • Adjusted the recap so it no longer shows a particular event slightly before it happened.
  • Replaced "marcos" in the Spanish translation with "mojones," since the former is a Galician term, not standard Spanish.
  • Updated the cursor icon in a specific hotspot to better reflect what happens when you click it. Sorry for being vague, just trying to avoid spoilers since it happens almost at the end of the game.

Minor update 1.0.2

[p]Hi everyone,

We're blown away by the reception of the game so far! Both players and press critics are loving it, and we could not be happier knowing that we delivered a fun experience.

Yesterday I submitted a tiny patch (1.0.1) addressing the music loop in one of the scenes. I did not even bother you with that one because it was so minor.

Today I released another small patch, and I felt it was a good time to share an update. Here are the changes:[/p]
  1. [p]The audio of the recap when you continue a game ("Previously on...") now respects the voice volume you configured in the settings. Previously, it was using the SFX channel, which was not correct.[/p]
  2. [p]Fixed an issue with inventory descriptions not displaying consistently.[/p]
  3. [p]The first time the game loads, it will now try to automatically select the correct language based on your PC settings. This will not affect you if you have already played, as your existing settings will be respected.[/p]
[p]
This update has been in the beta channel for a few hours and was tested by me and a few friends. I am confident it does not introduce any regressions, but if you notice anything odd, please let me know and I will address it quickly.

Thank you all so much for your support. It truly means a lot and makes all the hard work worthwhile.

P.S.: You can check which version you are currently running in the general settings.

Shadows of the Afterland is Out Now!

[p]Thanks for your patience while we polished the game until we made it shine.[/p][p][/p][p]This has been a wonderful journey, from the first sketches to this pixelated 1960s Madrid. We've poured all our love (and a little bit of mischief) into the story, puzzles, art, and music.[/p][p][/p][previewyoutube][/previewyoutube][p][/p][p]Now it's your turn to wear the badge (and the apron). Immerse yourself in the game, possess whoever you need to, and discover why Carolina remembers the future, and what she's doing in the afterlife looking like that.[/p][p][/p][p]P.S. When you've finished your investigation, leave us a full report in the Steam reviews.[/p]
