GUARDS! PLAYABLE ON STEAM DECK
Greetings GUARDS!
Throughout development, we have always taken the time to assess how GUARDS! plays on Steam Deck. As big fans of the device we wanted to make sure that the experience was a cut above the usual minimal support, and we feel pretty confident that we've managed to achieve the coveted green tick.
Here is what our programmer had to say about it:
'Most of my gaming time is on Steam Deck, I love the ability to pickup and play between level 20 life chores like work, and sleep. I browse the green ticks like a hawk searching for the next game to delve into and when making Guards I wished to make the game a smooth experience on Steam Deck. I made sure screen inputs transition nicely, icons are setup for inputs with a gamepad mapping reference in the settings menu, and from the early days made sure it ran at 60 on deck with low to medium settings - which in a Stylized game feels fine! - I hope this effort reaches you well, and let me know in the discussions how your experience fares!
Currently, we are awaiting our official Steam Deck compatibility review. We were hoping to have it in place for release, but there is a queue on the review process, so we won't receive it until after launch.
