Slender: The Arrival News

First and foremost we want to give a heartfelt thank you to our amazing community, your enthusiasm and support for our titles has been a constant reminder why we do what we love— creating awesome games. As a lot of you know we are a small indie studio, and as we continue to work on several projects, we have to reassess where we need to focus our priority, and with that we will need to pause development of the Slender: The Arrival DLC, mod support and multiplayer. While we hope to revisit this content in the future we do need to shift our focus so we do not stretch our staff too thin.

We appreciate your support and will continue to work hard on all our titles.

We have made the decision to delay the addition of new DLC chapters, multiplayer and cross-platform mods coming to Slender: The Arrival. Our team is working on multiple projects, and to ensure we have not stretched our team too far we are looking at a slightly longer development period. Rest assured, we plan to deliver a really unique experience within Slender: The Arrival, and with more time our team can hit the right quality mark.

We wanted to put Slender: The Arrival forth for consideration for the Labor of Love award. As you likely know, we have been hard at work building the 10th Anniversary Update which launched on October 18 as a free upgrade.

We’ve been blown away by the responses from all of you since the update dropped, and we can’t thank you enough for sticking with us throughout the last ten years. This marks a whole decade since our original release and we thought it was a perfect time to go back and revisit the first game we launched as a studio.

Your responses have truly energized our whole team, and that makes our jobs so much more rewarding. We are kicking things up a notch next year by adding a multiplayer mode, cross-platform modding, and even more chapters. This is a big undertaking, but these are updates we have been waiting a really long time to build.

We are incredibly passionate about this game, the mythos and the entire community and we hope you are all just as excited as we are. Our goal is to turn this into something sustainable, with continued updates months and years into the future. So, we humbly ask that you consider a vote for Slender: The Arrival in this year’s Steam “Labor of Love” nominations. It would mean a lot to us, and look forward to growing the game alongside you!

We're back with a patch for you today which includes the removal of our Halloween seasonal items as well as a variety of bug fixes. Please see below for more details:

• Removed seasonal items
  
• Fixed several map holes in "The Eight Pages" level
  
• Fixed several map holes in "Flashback" level
  
• Fixed a bug where the player could get stuck behind the shack door in "The Arrival" level
  
• Fixed a bug where page pickup sounds would not play in the "Genesis" level
  
• Fixed art issues with CR's car
  
• Fixed a bug where Chaser could pounce through chain link fence
  
• Reduced Chaser leap distance on easy and medium difficulties
  
• Reduced "footsteps" sound play rate in "The Eight Pages" level
  
• Fixed a bug where subtitles would overlap button prompts
  
• Scrapbook properly reflects the number of owned collectables to reduce confusion
  
• Fixed a bug where Slender's AI could trigger jump scares and sanity loss while hidden
  
• Vsync is now hidden if frame gen is enabled
  
• Added moving fog to "Genesis" that gets thicker the more pages you pick up
  
• Reduced Chaser persistent chasing times on easy and medium difficulties
