TEXNOPLAZM - Release Date Announcement

TEXNOPLAZM enters Early Access on August 4th 2025!

My first-person beat'em'up/gun-fu project arrives this summer!

On launch day Texnoplazm will contain the Prologue (a.k.a. the demo) and the first three action-packed Chapters, each one divided into multiple levels, offering the same structure you experienced in the demo but with even more surprises – and better tutorials.

What to expect
[p] - New abilities and upgraded movesets
Unlock powerful active and passive upgrades at Upgrade Terminals by uncovering every secret in select levels.
Active upgrades will count as special moves that can be activated once their meter is full, while passive upgrades will improve moves or interactions that are present in the core game loop.

- Gear Up for Combat
Prepare to wield new melee weapons, guns, and more. Even better, the aforementioned upgrades will bring fresh ways to interact with your arsenal, opening even more stylish options at every encounter.

- New Enemies
Fight against brand-new enemy types as you progress through the game, decide which one is your (un)favorite to deal with.

- New Bosses
Wrap up each Chapter by facing a new boss, each one of them testing your skills in unique ways.

- General improvements
The feedback gathered from you all has been pivotal to make the game flow as smoothly as possible, so I hope that the version 0.1 of Texnoplazm will feel fun and rewarding.


The public demo will see an update to reflect the changes brought after the Steam Next Fest experience aswell, but there's no estimated date for said update yet.

The "thank you"
[p]Hey everyone, Mothership here

I want to say THANK YOU to all the people who played the new demo and/or added Texnoplazm to their wishlists - the game metrics got a big spike and it looks like they haven't slowed down yet.

Based on the feedback gathered from Steam and other avenues, I'm happy that the general consensus seems to be that the game is solid fun and just needs some adjustments - but that's what publishing demos is for, after all![/p]

The feedback
[p]There are common points of criticism across the board about the tutorials, how the game is a bit too forgiving, and other things.

You'll be happy to know that I've started reworking the tutorialization of the first level already, and i'm rebalancing the base difficulty by tweaking data points such as stamina recharge and healing rate, rather than mindlessly buffing enemy attacks.

There are various other things that have been internally implemented already as well, so here's a list:[/p]
  • [p]player switches to the most powerful weapon at the start of the level/on respawn[/p]
  • [p]player's direction on respawn tweaked case-by-case to avoid getting lost[/p]
  • [p]visual cue added for enemies damaged by a slash/dash (melee moveset)[/p]
  • [p]audio/visual cues for attacks that are blocked (but not parried)[/p]
  • [p]increase for both the parry window and the block duration[/p]
  • [p]visual cue for enemy attacks that hit the player
    [/p]
[p]I'll be making a dedicated post about the release date later, so for the time being have fun!
And as per usual, be patient with bugs
