Rocket League Season 5 is approaching the edge of space on March 9 when the season comes to an end. With the next season arriving at the speed of light, it's time to reveal the Competitive Season 5 Rewards. We're happy to announce that Competitive Season 5 Rewards will be new Goal Explosions! Check out these bombastic Goal Explosions in the video below before they arrive when Season 6 begins!



If you're new to Competitive, here's how the Competitive Rewards work. Make sure you complete your ten placement matches to be placed in a Rank, and then fulfill your appropriate Season Reward Level at that rank (10 wins for each Rank beginning with Bronze).

Similar to past seasons, Season 5 Rewards will also grant Titles for players at the Grand Champion and Supersonic Legend Rank. Here's the full Season Rewards Breakdown:

Tournament Credits will also be reset when Season 5 ends, just like the transition from Season 4 to Season 5. Players who participated in Competitive Tournaments throughout Season 4 will be granted an All-Star Cup reward. Players' Tournament Credits will convert to the highest level reward they are capable of earning based on their Tournament Rank and Tournament Credit amount.

Pull up to the tailgate, swing by the cooler, and get grilling, ‘cause Rocket League is laying out this year’s Super Bowl game plan. We’re bringing back Gridiron LTM for some hard-hitting action, streaming Gridiron Games with some of the biggest players and content creators, and adding a third round of epic football content to the NFL Fan Pass!

The NFL Fan pass is the gift that keeps on giving, and this round is unstoppable! Anyone who purchased the 2021 NFL Fan Pass will automatically receive the latest bundle that includes Breakout and Fennec Animated Decals for all 32 NFL teams, plus the new Team Helmet Toppers to match!

The NFL Fan Pass will be available in the Item Shop for 1000 Credits for anyone who missed it before. Buying the pass will also give you access to all content from previous releases, including Dominus and Octane Decals for all 32 teams, Pigskin Paint Finish, and the complete Team Player Banner and Team Antenna collection.

All right, bring it in team, ‘cause running your best plays is the only way to score in this American football inspired LTM. Complete challenges to gain XP and unlock the NFL Wheels and Field General Player Title.

Just like in the past, the ball will attach to your car when you touch it; that’s the easy part. From there, rush and jump over your opponent’s defense to prevent them from stealing the ball. Score 3 points by dodging to throw a field goal, or try to run it home and score your team a whopping 7 points! Don’t forget to defend your QB from a demo on kickoff—it’s intended mechanics after all!

Gridiron LTM will be available from Wednesday, Feb. 9 at 9:00 a.m. PST (5 p.m. UTC) until Tuesday, Feb. 15 at 6:00 p.m. PST ( Feb.16 at 2:00 a.m. UTC)

With the Gridiron LTM returning, we're also bringing back the Gridiron Games on Twitch with some of the biggest names in Rocket League! This exhibition match is easy to remember: 4 teams of 4 players, playing 4 quarters to determine the champion! The event will be hosted by RLCS pro and First Touch host Roll Dizz, and Coach and Content Creator Virge.

Rocket League is celebrating Black History Month all month long with new FREE Player Anthems in the Item Shop! These new Player Anthems, which feature historic artists and songs that have influenced hundreds of hits throughout the years, will be available all month long for free in the "Behind The Samples" tab in-game.

This new collection of songs called "Behind The Samples" includes famous funk groups Detroit Emeralds, Ohio Players, and The Winstons. Even if you haven't heard their original hits (and we highly recommend you listen to them ASAP), you've probably heard popular songs that have borrowed the beat or melody.

The Detroit Emeralds were active in the '60s and '70s and made several hits that reached the R&B Top 10 as well as the pop charts at the time. Their songs live on today through samples used by Kendrick Lamar, Common, Nas, and many others.

The Winstons are a Grammy-winning group out of Washington, D.C. The group is best known for their drum solos, especially the famous “Amen Break” sample. This 6-second section is the most sampled piece of music of all time and was a key ingredient in creating the Drum and Bass and Jungle genres.

The Ohio Players formed in Dayton, Ohio, and are members of the Rhythm and Blues Hall of Fame. The group has had nearly a dozen albums hit the top 100 U.S. Pop Chart, including 1974's "Fire" that reached number 1.

Cars have always been the main event in Rocket League, but a strong second is the game’s musical legacy. To celebrate our ever-evolving soundtrack, we’re introducing a new in-game event called Neon Nights that includes exciting Challenges, Golden Moons, a chaotic LTM, and unlockable Items featuring the immortal space princess GRIMES.

In collaboration with GRIMES' upcoming space opera, a super-intelligent deep space AI will begin transmitting Challenges directly into your life-sim, allowing you to unlock GRIMES-themed items. If our calculations are correct, they should arrive on Earth Wednesday, Jan. 26 at 9 a.m. PST (5 p.m. UTC)! 

You’ll be ready to join the machines with the Gravitator and Space Queen Toppers, Braided Trail, GRIMES Decal, GRIMES Wheels, and GRIMES Player Banner. We’re also remixing some old favorites with the Fireworks (Multichrome) Universal Decal and Uncanny Boost. The future has arrived in force, but you’ll have a chance to showcase your humanity and unlock two new Player Anthems from GRIMES' upcoming album: "Player of Games" and "Shinigami Eyes." 

And speaking of AI, it seems that aimbots have taken over the Rocket Labs Arenas! Jump into a wild match of Heatseeker Ricochet and go head-to-head in this chaotic LTM.

Throughout Neon Nights, you’ll also get a chance to earn Golden Moons, which unlock a mix of classic items from the Impact, Nitro, and Overdrive Item Series. Golden Moons work just like Golden Gifts from Frosty Fest. Complete the Challenge up to five times to earn Golden Moons, then open them in your Inventory to unlock items! 

And finally, in celebration of Lunar New Year, the Rocket League team wishes everyone a 2022 filled with happiness, prosperity, and longevity. We’re also offering the Year of the Tiger Free Bundle in the Item Shop featuring the fearless Tiny Tiger Topper and Tyger Decal.
