Rocket League Season 6 release time - countdown to Nomad

It's that time of year again when Rocket League players pick up their controllers ready to grind their way through the Rocket League ranks once again. That's right, Season 6 is just around the corner and alongside a new competitive season, you can expect to get your hands on a new variant of Neo Tokyo, a new car, and a new limited-time event.

But when does Rocket League Season 6 start exactly? Psyonix has confirmed that the Rocket League Season 6 release time is 16:00 PST / 19:00 EST on March 8 and midnight GMT on March 9. This is when the patch will go live, so get your hard drives ready if you're looking to get a head start on the action.

Once the patch is live and ready to go, you can opt to go head to head online using your trusty car - which, we assume, can be found on our list of the best Rocket League cars - or with the Nomad, a new arrival to the game's ever-growing roster.

Rocket League Season 5 release time - countdown to blast off

Rocket League season 6 kicks off tomorrow

Rocket League season six, the latest major update for the popular vehicular football game from Psynoix, is due to kick off tomorrow on March 9. This update will bring a new arena, a season six battle pass to work through, as well as new limited time events to look forward to.

This comes almost seven years after the game’s initial release, as it continues to maintain a passionate community of players enraptured with the title.

Neo Tokyo, one of the game’s pre-existing arenas, is getting a makeover in season six. This time around, the stadium will be themed in a comic book style. This will be immediately available at the start of season six and will provide a much needed change of scenery to players as they soar across the sky and miss easy shots on goal in their ranked games.
WE’LL BE RIGHT BACK AFTER THIS COMMERCIAL BREAK
From the studio that brought you Rocket League, Psyonix proudly presents Season 6, an all-new adventure featuring our beloved cast of cars. This season introduces an animation-themed Rocket Pass featuring the new Nomad van, along with a never-before-seen Neo Tokyo (Comic) Variant Arena. As the season continues, we’ll release items from the Fornax Series, uncage the legendary Black Fennec, and introduce a smashing Mid-Season Event that showcases a New Game Mode.

Coming soon to own on Wednesday, March 9 at 8 a.m. PST (4 p.m. UTC) and DVD.
COMING UP NEXT
This Season’s Rocket Pass is packed tighter than a clown car. Fans of the Merc Hitbox rejoice! We’re going cross country with the bouncing Nomad van, complete with road trip stickers on the Well Traveled Decal.

Be careful while channel surfing—the mysterious Nomster has been spreading rapidly through the game. We’re not exactly sure WHAT he is yet, but he’s showing up in new Wheels, a Goal Explosion, even a new Antenna that somehow devours the grille of the Nomad! Not cool Nomster, not cool!
BONUS FEATURES
The fun doesn’t stop with the Rocket Pass; we’ve got the Fornax Series coming into play as Blueprints shortly after the Season begins. Featuring the stylish Mamba Car, this series mixes new and old with some totally re-imagined classics. Slip on a pair of Pixelated Shades: Multichrome or get holographic with the new Troika: Roasted Wheels. We’ve also got a new Shade Raid Goal Explosion that transforms every match into the pages of a comic book.

Arenas are undergoing a bit of a transformation as well, as the new Neo Tokyo (Comic) Variant comes into the game.

A new batch of Tournament Rewards is rolling in, and it’s a whole bag of tricks. Toilet paper rolls, heavy dumbbells, and wheels full of teeth all mix together to make some of our zaniest rewards yet.

Don’t touch that dial! Season 6 has another surprise in store. Later this Season, a new Limited Time Event will debut, releasing an entirely new Mode that’s sure to be a smash hit. Details to come, but for now, we’ll just say we hope you like bumping!
AVAILABLE IN THE ITEM SHOP
It looks like the devs used permanent marker on this one. That’s right, the much anticipated Black Fennec is coming to the Item Shop in Season 6, so get your credits ready. This instant classic will pair perfectly with your favorite Esports Decals and Titanium White Wheels.

We’re also bringing in new Starter and Standard Bundles packed full of classic items like the Jäger 619, Toon-Hydro Trail, Toon Goal Explosion (Titanium White), and more!

Season 6 kicks off Wednesday, March 9 following a game update on March 8 at 4 p.m PST.

The Bat is Back
I COULD DEFEAT YOU… BUT INSTEAD, I WILL SIMPLY….
DEMO YOU.
In the dark tunnels below Wayne Manor, a masked man sits alone in contemplative silence. Taking advantage of the momentary lull in crime, he reaches towards his dual-monitor control center, quickly booting up his favorite rocket-powered car soccer game. Little does our hero realize that this respite shall be short-lived, for on March 2 Gotham City will come face-to-face with villains of supersonic ability...
THE BATMAN BUNDLE
The Bat-Signal shines high over Beckwith Park, signifying the nightly prowl of the Caped Crusader. Locals have seen him cruising in a whole new ride for 2022, designed in secret by Wayne Industries. This updated Batmobile seems to feature an American-muscle-inspired body, screen-accurate Paint Finishes, and a Goal Explosion utilizing the Dark Knight’s newest symbol. A secret informer we’ll call Alfredyay Ennyworthpay leaked the specs for the newest vehicle:
THE BATMAN BUNDLE [1100 CREDITS]
Batmobile (2022) Body (Dominus Hitbox)
    Batmobile (2022) Engine Audio
    Dark Knight Matte Paint Finish
    Batmobile (2022) Wheels
    Batmobile (2022) Boost
    Batmobile (2022) Trail
    Reel Life Decal
    The Batman Goal Explosion

*Note: With the exception of The Batman Goal Explosion, the items included in The Batman Bundle above can only be equipped by the Batmobile (2022). The Batmobile (2022) cannot be customized with additional items.
GOTHAM CITY RUMBLE LTM
With the gates of Arkham Asylum unlocked, madness has spilled onto the Rocket League Arenas once again, transforming this noble game into the deadly Gotham City Rumble.

Power-ups in this LTM work the same as Rumble but are themed after the many villains of Batman’s past. Rack up easy clears with The Joker’s Boxing Glove, grapple through the air with Poison Ivy’s Vines, or slingshot the ball behind you with the Bat-Grapel. Just don’t let Clayface Spikes slip past you for a goal.

Will you become the hero Rocket League needs? Batman is back on March 2.

The Batman Bundle and Gotham City Rumble will be available Wednesday, March 2 at 9 a.m. PST (5 p.m. UTC) to Tuesday, March 8 at 6 p.m. PST (March 9 at 2 a.m. UTC)
